Rude, crappy people.

edited August 2014 in December 2014 Moms

I know we've had several threads about this but I cannot believe the stupid comment that came out of one of my employees' mouth today. I don't know who in their right mind would find this as something acceptable to say to any human, let alone their pregnant boss but she said, "Ms. Kate, I just wanted to tell you that I don't remember your ass getting that big when you were pregnant last time." Ummm ok thanks? F you!!!!

Rant away ladies, what's a throat punch worthy comment you've received lately?

ETA: I would like to add that when I picked DS up from the inlaws this evening Sil greeted me with How's it going preggers? To which I replied I was tired and feeling pregnant and my 10 year old nephew, bless his little heart, said I don't think she even looks pregnant. That boy will make some woman very happy some day.

Oh boy, do I have a rant. So many comments at work last night.

A coworker felt my belly then followed with "oh wow! It's not as firm as I thought it would be!"

Another coworker looking at me face on "from the front or back you still look sexy, and then you turn sideways and it's like 'WOAH!'"

A customer sitting with his head about eye level with my belly turns to respond to something I've said and exclaims "WOAH! Didn't see that there before!"

"We saw Erica she's only a little bigger than you!" (A pregnant friend who is on her second child and due over a month ahead of me)

And then there is this morning walking to work, someone I know rolls down their window "getting more ice cream!?"

    sigh....

  • Sheesh @amw0914 I guess welcome to the big butt club?! My feelings are still hurt and this was several hours ago. I actually thought my body looked good.

  • I'm getting the opposite comments but still rude. I keep getting accused of under eating because I've lost weight but I was seriously living unhealthy. Not to mention nearly 100lbs overweight. I keep getting "you've lost so much in your face! You're eating for two! You're going the wrong way!" I'm sorry, I'll go up to 300lbs and have a heart attack before my kid is even born if that makes you more comfortable...
  • DH asked me to put on this ridiculous fishnet outfit he bought me for my birthday (um, gee, thanks for the gift, BTW).  I looked at him like 'are you fucking kidding me?' and he said, "It's OK, it stretches.  One size fits all."  Needless to say, my led zeppelin shirt and sun pajama bottoms were worn.

I just had a moment of panic picturing myself shoved into a fishnet dress that turned into hilarity. Pregnant and fishnet is just not a good combination!

LMAO, picture this: its got legs and a hole in the crotch.  Dh thinks it's classy!  I feel like a sausage encased in my clothes all day.  Why would I do this at night?

Bahahaha I needed that laugh. My ex was obsessed with fishnet which I totally rolled with but yeah when I'm wearing mandatory stretchy pants and flowy tops I just don't think fishnet would agree with me. Yikes what a scary thought.

  • I was talking with my pregnant coworker...another coworker came in and told her "wow you look pregnant!" She then looked at me and said "you....don't." She looked back at my other coworker and said "maybe it's because you're thin on top" ....looked back at me and said....wait for it... "and you're...well...not."

I proceeded to grab my boobs and wiggle them at her. Meanie.
