DH and DD were in a car accident today

DH took DD food shopping. He left her in her carseat while he went to get groceries from the trunk. Apparently the car was not in park and it started to roll toward the street (our driveway is on a hill). DH tried to stop it because DD was inside but it hit him and dragged him for some time (not sure how far). The car rolled across the street and hit the neighbor's car. DD was not hurt but DH had a lot of skin scraped off his back, abdomen, and the side of his face. DH has been largely out of it, saying things that don't make sense. The doctor says it was a combination of shock and the pain medicine.

Thank you everyone. Dh came home today, he's taking a lot of pain medicine so he's sleeping a lot. He'll go to his primary care doctor tomorrow and decide what to do next. The doctor at the hospital said all in all, it could have been much worse. He's mostly worried about infection so we are keeping it bandaged and he's on antibiotics. He said there was no organ damage.

BIL took dd from the hospital and I haven't seen her since then but he said she's doing great, laughing and playing. He's bringing her back today. Considering what happened, we are crazy lucky. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.

How scary! I can only imagine what your DH was feeling when the car started rolling. I'm sure he's an emotional wreck. I'm glad you DD is fine & I'm hoping for a quick mental & physical recovery for your DH.
