For the love of food!

Ladies !!!
Does your appetite after baby ever go back to what it was before baby?
I have eaten things this pregnancy I never ate prior to pregnancy but I crave them right now .... Do you ever go back to what you ate before and cut out all the bad stuff for example sweets ... Chocolate bars(before pregnancy I'd eat one a year if lucky, now I'm like one every month!)

Re: For the love of food!

  • Yeah, I think after the hormones level off, some of the aversions and/or cravings go away. Then again, some don't. :)

  • I'm sorry but are you concerned about eating one chocolate bar a month?  That's not something I'd waste time worrying about.

I ate more while I was pregnant (and breastfeeding) but it didn't change what I ate necessarily.  I mean you choose what you put in you mouth.
  • Personally, I think a chocolate bar a month is good for you :) But I actually ate more while breastfeeding than when pregnant. The stats (possibly outdated, but you get the jist) say that you need an extra 350 calories per day during pregnancy but 500 per day to breastfeed. I was eating everything under the sun while breastfeeding and still dropping weight. Whenever you're completely done with the pregnancy to include breastfeeding if you're going that route your hormones will start going back to normal and everything should level out.
  • Thanks ladies !!
