Sorry I'm a little late....We checked into the hospital at 8pm Sunday night for a scheduled induction. They got me all hooked up to everything and started giving me medicine every two hours. When I was first checked, I was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced and contractions were 6 min apart (although I wasn't really feeling them). As time went on, I was starting to feel the contractions and was progressing very slow. I finally got to a 4 the next morning and seemed to get stuck there. I got the epidural around 7am as I was getting very uncomfortable. We spent the rest of the day waiting and waiting. Finally I hit a 7 at 3:30pm, then a 9 at 5:00pm. I started pushing at 6pm and pushed for 2 solid hours! I had started running a fever and his heart rate was a little elevated. When his head came out, the cord was wrapped around the neck. My husband saw it and realized but they got it clipped and I had another push to get him out before I ever knew what happened. Thank goodness, because I would have been in a panic. A few minutes later, I had a beautiful 9lb 5 oz 22in long baby boy in my arms. He is healthy and we are so happy and in love!
