I would check your insurance but I *think* you can have it done at different offices. I would find out from the insurance first, if they don't need a referral I would call local offices and see if they do them. If so, just make sure you get a copy of the results to bring when you meet with the RE so they can look at the results too!

Me: 26 DH: 27
TTC #1 Since Aug. 2013
Cycle 1: O CD 25=bfn
Cycle 2: O CD 48=bfn
Cycle 3: Anovulatory/Provera =120 days!
Cycle 4: Anovulatory/Prometrium=127 days! RE consult 6/16
It all depends on your insurance. For me, I did not need a referral for the RE, but I did need prior approval for my trigger shot (6th months only). Call them up and ask them. I did that before I went to my appointment, so I knew what was and wasn't covered. Also, my RE office explained what insurance would cover also. GL
I'd just call the insurance company and ask if he can see a uro or if he needs a referral, but the referral from his primary should be fine. You could also ask exactly what's covered for your DH at that time. We were thrilled to see that MH's SA's were covered, somehow I never imagined they would be!

It depends on your insurance. I don't need a referral to see any specialist but we were recommended a urologist that my RE sends all of his patients to.
