Anyone ever had a Brazilian Blow Out?? (Or other similar straightening treatments)

Has anyone ever had one and how do you like it? My hair is quite long (6 inches past shoulders about) but it's wavy/frizzy/course. It takes well over an hour just to dry then straighten. As a result I just put it up in a bun every day.

My local salon said it's about $350 (ah!) and needs to be done every 3-4 months....

Worth it??

    Did it not work as well as you had hoped or do you think it's just not worth the $350 despite the results?

    I'd be pissed if I did it and it didn't really solve the frizzy problem enough.

    My friend gets it done and she literally combs her hair, goes to work with her hair wet, and by the time she starts work her hair is silky smooth.  I'm betting that not everyone's hair responds that way...

    I just got it done. My hair was the same as yours--not as long. Before Reese it was stick straight, no frizz (not even with humidity). After her my hair was frizzy, wavy (but not nice wavy--like poofy) no matter what I did. 

    It cost 250 for me to get it done--I was there for about 3 hours. I think they said 4-6 months.
