I am a FTM/FTP. I am not sure what is quite going on.
Little back history: 2 nights ago I ate pineapple, NOT from the can, real stuff.
I had some discomfort that night after dinner. I did not think about the pineapple and it's effects. Next morning I was still not feeling well but needed to eat. So I ate both pineapple and watermelon. Then I thought I had read something on here about pineapple being a contraction starter. So I did a bit of research and found out it could.
So I stopped eating it. But I am still having discomfort. My belly gets hard all the way around, I feel sick to my stomach, can mot get comfortable in any position. I feel like I might puke at some point. Have not done it yet.
Nothing timeable (Ie: contractions) that I know of. So my question is do I call the on call or see if it continues for another day? It has taken a toll on my energy wise. I don't want to go get check at L&D and it be nothing. But if it is something I want to be on the safe side.
Re: Help a FTM with a FTP out please
You could be having braxton hicks contractions. To me they feel like my stomach is getting rock hard, hold for a few seconds then relax. Labor contractions for me were a lot lower and difficult to breathe through.
I would drink a lot of water, lay down with your feet up and relax for an hour and see if it eases up. You can always call your OB's office and see what they say if they will help you relax.
Good luck.
Thanks for the replies. I had some wierd pain before I finally feel asleep last night. I had DH time them like contractions and they were happening every minute lasting any where between 20-40 seconds. We only timed them for 10 minutes (Talk about a reality check).
Between some of them H had me laughing and then others I was starting to doze off. So I figured if I can sleep through them then I am not going to worry about it.
Fast foward to this morning. I have been feeling LO move around more then other times. My sugars are good so far this morning and I am going to take it easy today.
If this happens again at any time today I am going to call the on call.
