Lots of FTMs at age 39

This year, at least four women (including me) from my grade school class have had or will have their first child. A fifth had her first two years ago and is having her second in a few months. We are all 39.

Two of the ladies delivered within the past week, and I feel especially connected to them and their pregnancies, although we haven't been really close in recent years, because we all grew up together.

Anyway, I am just sharing because it struck me how common it is now to be a FTM later on.

Me too, was strangly excited to get a due date two weeks before my 40th birthday - for some unknown reason I felt like two more weeks made some kind of a difference, will be FTM at 39 - just!

I had my first at 39. I am 41 now and 3 weeks pregnant with number 2. Older FTM's are not at all uncommon where I live (NY). I am convinced that having children older can help you look/feel younger longer!

FTM at 39, deliver at 40 or 39? Due date 12/17. 40th birthday 12/6. We shall see. Feeling grateful and blessed at 20 weeks.

I'm so happy to read your post. I, too, am 39, and my 1st baby is due March 31st -- 2 months before my 40th! I have a feeling that there will be many very happy women on their 40th birthdays this year!

I am 38 and not first pregnancy, but am scared because my first was 6 years ago, but had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I am now 10 weeks, so I'm trying to stay positive that everything will be fine.

I will be 37 when this baby is born, I'm realizing that at 40 I will have a high schooler, and at least one preschooler and (hopefully) starting a new career path doing museum work. Its definitely not what I was expecting ten years ago, but I am overjoyed at the direction my life has taken me!
