Trouble TTC

Progesteron - When did you start taking after IUI?

I had B2B IUI's yesterday and today, with intercourse tonight. I am supposed to start vaginal progesterone capsules tomorrow morning... but the nurse said that we should BD early today because the progesterone kills sperm once it’s in my body. Should I wait and start tomorrow night and give the little guys a bit more time to get acquainted with me and maybe decide to want to stay with me for a little while, say 9 months? Your thoughts?

  • I started at 2dpiui. I would just start in the morning like she said. The progesterone is just in your vagina, not your uterus, and any sperm who were heading that way the night before are not going to be chilling in your vagina anymore.
    **siggy warning**  **everyone welcome**

  • I was told the evening after the second IUI (we do B2Bs too). So I'd trigger around 8pm on say a Monday, have an IUI at 8am on Tuesday, another on Wednesday 8am, then that night before bed, start Prometrium. Now reading everyone's responses I'm wondering if I should wait another day or two? hmm...
