I have nothing to say about my MIL, I just thought it would be fun to have two consecutive threads with J Lo movie titles.

I guess I can ask a question... Anyone have any good MIL stories? Bluedot? Yours are the best.

    I love my MIL. However she is currently visiting us at my parents summer house and all 4 grandparents together is a bit much. I might have a story by Sunday.

    My MIL made some comments to me today when I brought up Halloween costume about how she made all her boys' costumes. (She's constantly ragging on how I suck at cooking, cleaning, sewing, etc).

    DH later informed me that she made like three of his costumes: a hobo (rags and black ash make-up) and Aunt Jemima (rags and black face paint) and like one other. Oh okay, so she threw some old clothes on her kids and painted their faces to make completely un-PC "costumes". Soooo wrong.

    I have nothing fresh, so I'll contribute a story from when DD was small.

    Note: MIL has a very short temper and used to get into a lot of fights when she was younger, ok not just younger, lady's got a bad temper but she hasn't been in a fight in a long time.

    We were headed to the dollar store to scope out party supplies for DD'S first birthday. I'm carrying DD and she had the diaper bag while we were about to walk in. There was a lady there asking for signatures for some petition and to get registered to vote. Mil said no thanks, lady asks again. Mil declines again and the lady insists she should sign. MIL snaps, says "I told you already I don't want to sign your petition, if I wanted to sign it, I'd F'ing sign it". Lady gets all mad and told MIL she didn't need to be a b!tch about it. Next thing I see is the diaper bag swinging towards the lady's head. I sh.t you not. MIL got into a fight with her. I ran out of there with DD and picked her up when the dust settled.

    As mentioned in previous posts, mine were just here for over a week. It ended with me yelling at my bf, then going to my parents house until he made them go away. Now they will go on and on about how I'm keeping them away from their grand child.
