Can I go ahead and make pretty well everything tonight except for the dumplings? Then just reheat everything up tomorrow and then add dumplings before serving or would it be gross?
I agree that they taste better the day after, but I find their texture to be weird. I'd assemble everything, minus the dumplings, tonight. Then tomorrow just get a good simmer going, and drop in the dumplings.
