What kinds of things do you do with you'd little one throughout the day? Trying to think of more things to do besides reading books, coloring, puzzles. My twins are almost 2. Thanks!!
DD is really big on role play right now. We play store, tea party, and restaurant. We bring all her stuffed animals for their weekly "check up", anything art wise, make letters for grandparents and decorate envelopes and let them help you drop in the mailbox. She helps me pretty a lot in the kitchen preparing meals.
Well I guess you're looking for a typical day not my day today lol.
6am : I'm getting kicked in the head and/or back by Troy who's starting to wake up 645:i give up on trying to sleep through it (or so starts getting pissy about Troy wiggling around) so I scoop the kids up, turn the coffee pot on and do morning diaper changes, then I put Troy on the couch and Griffin in the bouncer and turn on a show so I can make breakfast. 730-8ish : wake so up, feed everyone (on a good day pancakes or eggs, on a bad day oatmeal or cereal and some kind of fruit) another diaper change and TV goes off. 9ish:i get ready while so plays with the kids before work 10ish : so goes to work and Griffin goes in for a morning nap. Troy and I practice writing, and drawing shapes. Sometimes there's a craft or I'll break out the finger paints. noonish: Griffin wakes up, we make lunch and have story time while Troy eats (also there's usually tummy time for Griffin in here) 1ish : errands. If I don't need to run any errands we'll go to the park for an hour or 2 because it's griffins nap time and he falls asleep so much better in the car lol 2ish we've been playing in the sprinkler a lot around this time. Troy loves any activity where clothes aren't required and my boys love being outside. Also there's usually a "messy snack" like ice pops at some point during sprinkler time because I figure it'll just wash off haha 4ish: clothes are back on and we're probably exploring outside. Yesterday we found a pond we had no idea about on the property.. 6ish: Troy is helping me make dinner, and Griffin is probably doing tummy time in his play gym. So gets home from work and we have dinner. 7ish: so takes Troy out for some one on one time (2 to 3 days a week) usually to walk around the book store, go get ice cream, or they just explore the yard some more while I get Griffin settled for bed. On days they don't go out, we take a "nature walk" as a family where Troy usually collects things for his play house (currently he has a collection of pinecones he calls his "decorations") 9ish Troy gets a bath, and has quiet time. He won't sleep in his own bed and won't lay in ours until we go to bed so he has to stay on the couch and usually falls asleep there until 11to midnight
This is an ideal day.. Before we had Griffin there was a lot more action and stuff, but I had to calm a lot of it down to accommodate Troy not napping and griffins naps lol
