  I don't think there ever was a threat. Just one picture uploaded with "Louisville Purge" and tonight's date/time. I get that the police have to take threats seriously, but nothing was ever confirmed and the media had it all over the place.

  It turned out to be funny. The orginal post was some kid playing a joke that had no intention of ever doing anything, and then it went viral. They were interviewing people on the news leaving town for the night because of "the purge". Grow a brain, people.

  People were convinced it was happening too listening to the scanners. I mean, realistically a shooting during the summer in a large city isn't terribly uncommon.
