Because it's Friday and we* need to confess.

*I, I need to confess.

I have to go out this afternoon. I'm torn between taking the chance that the baby stays asleep long enough for me to shower and just accepting that I'm going to smell funny all day.

I'm also supposed to be working because I'm way behind but coffee and brownie-filled cookies appeal to me far more at this point in time.

I hit a new low.

I ate a dove ice cream bar and I guess some chocolate melted on my kid's arm while I ate it. I noticed it about 15 minutes later and I licked the chocolate off of him.

I'm used to eating food off of him....but I LICKED THE CHOCOLATE OFF OF HIM.

@tourqueyes - We've all been there. Or at least been very close to there.

I've now moved on from coffee to refreshing my emails every minute or so, waiting for a response from someone wanting me to drop a thing off to them instead of working. I heart procrastinating.

I just went for a two mile walk outside, and I don't have time for a shower AND feeding the baby before I go meet a friend For lunch. I picked feeding the baby because I don't feel like pumping a bottle for my mom to give her.

I'm gong to look terrible, but i can just blame it on the fact that I "just had a baby" instead of simply running out of time.

I complain about not having time to get things done around the house, but really it's just that LO falls asleep on my chest and I'd rather stare at him than do anything productive.

Wait. That's not normal? I lick stuff off my kid all the time. Its the price she pays for demanding to be in the wrap while I am eating. Sometimes, before I lick it off her face, I take a picture of her with the food on her face. Most recently, it was a little bit of an orzo pasta salad.

This. I'm doing it right now.

Also, I confess that I rocked the rnp to help ds wake up more so that it was closer to DHs feeding time (he does 11p, I do 2a and it was 1215) and he had to get up. Ds slept through my feeding time

I want to know who the person is that accidentally did lick poop instead of chocolate and if they had to get a new mouth after that. Because I know someone in this world has to have done it.

I sat on my cat earlier (by accident) but I don't feel guilty.

Background: He tries to trip me on the stairs every time I go near them so he kind of deserved it, it's karma.

We have friends coming over in a few hours that we haven't seen since last year, I secretly wish they would bail. I'm too tired to entertain even though they persist they don't mind a screaming baby.

I don't have any long sleeved newborn outfits so DD has been living in short sleeved onesies and blankets all week. I just can't rationalize going out to buy something that she will grow out of in a week or two. Probably could have planned better...

We tell people we named him Milo because it is a combo of mike (Mister's name) + Han Solo. It is completely a joke. My sister came up with the idea of it being a combination of mike + Han Solo.

I put my Jawbone UP on on Monday thinking I was going to be good and start watching what I eat/working out. Instead I've eaten an entire bag of M&Ms (a large one), made myself a chocolate chip cookie in a mug and I have been drinking a Coke every day. I've also been sitting on my ass all week as this is my last week before I go back to work.

I'll do better next week

I haven't done a thing all day except bump, have LO sleep on my chest or in my arms, nurse, change diapers, and eat. Also, doctors appointment and errands in the morning so I guess that was my activity for the day. I feel like I should feel guilty but I don't care.

I love DD more than anything but I'm glad I'm going back to work on the 9th. No offense to stay at home moms it is just totally not for me. I feel like an asshole though....

This is how I felt when I had DS 1, but money or should I say the lack of contributed to this feeling also. This time with DS 1 and 2 at home, I'm secretly wishing DH will ask me to quit my banking job and be a stay at home mom!!

I wear pink versions of everything (sports kit, motorcycle gear, coveralls etc). It started out as a joke between me and my BFF because I'm tiny, have perfect nails and wear pink stuff but then break out a toolbox to build chicken coops, restore wheelbarrows and fix engines like it's NBD.

Me too! Especially, the constant attached to the boob stage. Life is so much easier when they cry in the car because they are hungry to hand them food, instead of having to pull over to nurse.

I think I'm the opposite. Maybe this is FTM delusions, but I want to stay in this erratic, tiny person stage forever. I think it's because having a baby who can't communicate and just had basic needs is kind of like having a new puppy. And I'm used to dogs. Is that a terrible comparison? Maybe. But I think once I realize this tiny, cuddly baby is a real person my brain is going to explode.

I know technically it's Saturday but ugh.

The birth announcement thread is making me ragy at the moment. People, you only post ONE time and you def don't post "oh I've been gone but congrats to everyone ya ya ya blah blah."

My confession is I really want to post in it to stop posting unless it's a birth announcement... But then I'm contradicting myself.
