Fellow April Matzoh Balls?

So I saw on badge thread that there are at least a few other Jewish ladies here. Who is due during Passover? I am due 4/20, but if I go for a RCS, they are usually done at 39 weeks, right when Passover starts. I am kind of bummed about being in the hospital for it. We usually host at least one night at our house, but apparently not this year!

Im due the first night of Passover. But I also have not had my dating ultrasound so we will see I guess.

My dad was raised Jewish (he's now a Southern Baptist - don't ask) but I am very thankful for my grandmother teaching me to make amazing matzoh ball soup. I can eat an entire pot in one sitting. It's my ultimate comfort food.

I had matzo ball soup for lunch at a deli! I blame my morning sickness on not being able to finish it... I wouldn't mind having a Pesach baby but I'm due 4/2.

I'm due 4/5. Everyone will have to come to Seder at my house and cook all of the food for me! Last year we all went to my SIL because she had just had my niece. I actually love Passover but we'll see how it goes this year!

Anyone else thinking yet about if their LO is a boy? We don't have a moyel where I live so we would likely have to drive 3.5hours to where my parents live... Oh well. I have a long ways before I need to really worry about these things!

Thankfully I live in a large enough Jewish community that they are easy to find here. The one we used is also an obgyn. I am slightly worried about a Passover bris. What will we do if we can't serve bagels?!

I'm 40 weeks the first night of Passover but I'm pretty sure that I'll be induced earlier because of my age (will find out first OB appt). All you mommies and babies are welcome to my place - I make a fucking AWESOME brisket.

I also live in a huge Jewish Community (south florida) my parents told me there is phone number you call ( they could totally be pulling my leg) but its 1-800-MOYEL. I will most likely have a scheduled c-section so id really love to do sedar and then have my c-section the next day. No way would I want to miss my gluten free matzo balls!

Actually I am a Pediatrician who does circumcisions (I don't know of any other in my city) but I don't really want to circumcise my own child!

I am due 4/14 so I am just hoping my mother in law is back from her Passover Isreal trip by then to see her grandchild being born. But I don't really see Passover effecting us that much... besides guaranteeing some amazing matzo ball soup

I am due April 12/13, so close to Passover. If this LO is a boy we have a mohel who did my son's bris and he is also an OB, so that will be easy.

This is the second time I am due during Passover. The first time we had to have a bris that was interesting with the food selection, especially cause we are all about bagels and speads. ...

I believe we are exempt. I know that I can't go longer than about five hours without food before I feel terrible!

I am due 4/6 and already know I'm having a boy - really hoping to avoid a Passover bris. I'll be having a scheduled c-section (repeat), so was wondering if my OB would think I was an absolute lunatic if I tried to schedule it so the bris wouldn't need to be during Passover. I'm not super religious, so I'm not sure of all of the rules, but I read recently that a c-section (or induced) delivery doesn't supercede the holiday, so a bris wouldn't be scheduled during the first 2 days or last 2 days of Passover (or on the Sabbath). At first, I was a little annoyed - the reasoning behind it is that it's an 'unnatural birth' which doesn't sit so well with me ... but if that rule lets me serve bagels at my bris, I'll take it ,,, LOL. Due right after Passover but I think hubby is going to draw the line at hosting my rowdy and insane family while 39 weeks pregnant. Guess we will make that call closer!
