GTKY: What songs are stuck in your head right now?

With @lgsdesigner‌ being so busy with the wedding, there hasn't been much activity on here lately. Anyone got a song stuck in their head? I've had a few lately.

1) "Shake It Out" by Florence and the Machine
2) "Unbelievers" by Vampire Weekend
and
3) "Madness" by Muse.

  • @meredithcarole Muse Radio is one of my go to Pandora stations.  My grade level change moved me to a new floor, after being on last years floor for several years.  Right now I keep hearing Simple Mind's "Don't You Forget About Me" whenever I see the teachers from my old hall.

    Also:

    1. Christina Perry's "Human"
    2. "Uprising" by Muse (That one always stays with me)
    3. "Need You Now" by Plumb

  • I know this is totally random, but I can't get "American Girl" - Tom Petty out of my head! I hadn't heard it in forever but it came on the radio a few days ago, and I keep finding myself dancing around the house to it!

And now it's in my head, too! Which would be fine, because I like Tom Petty a great deal, but that song always makes me think of the serial killer from Silence of the Lambs. : /

  • Awe Tom Petty.  In high school I loved the song, "Last Dance With Mary Jane."  When I was informed Mary Jane was a reference to marijuana, it took on a whole new meaning.  I was so naive through most of my educational years.

I now have "Rebel Without a Clue" running through my head.  It is of course accompanied by visions of the video with Johnny Depp, so that is not a bad thing.

  • This is funny that I woke up and read this post because I woke up singing "All of Me" by John Legend.
I'm feeling very close to my husband right now and I guess that song just fits.

    All welcome

  • "Happy" - Pharrel
    "Hello" - Lionel Richie
    "Amber" - 3-1-1 (or wedding song) :)
  • Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Iz K :)
  • I have a confusing mishmash of multiple Mighty Mighty Bosstones songs going in my head right now. It's as unpleasant as it sounds.
Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.

Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.

UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....
  • Right this second it is "Rude" by Magic!

  • ***child mentioned***

I have Yo GabbaGabba and Fresh Beats Band songs in my head bc the kidlette is insisting on watching certain episodes over and over...and over...AND OVER again. Sigh.

This past week I have had "Victoria" by The Kinks in my head because I have a client by that name assigned to my treatment team right now.
