GTKY Thread!
We have had an influx of new people, so I think this is the perfect day for this.
What is your favorite game to play? It can be computer, xbox/ps3/wii, sport, board game, anything! What makes it so special or fun for you?

When I was growing up my mom loved card games and we always played together. In high school my house was the hang out and we played with her. My friends would even come play when I wasn't there. My friends want to start a monthly spades game because they loved those days with my mom but I don't want my husband as my partner, no matter how hard I try he doesn't get it. I'm too competitive to have him on my team. Yeah I know I'm a bitch!

True story. I dated a guy once and we played monopoly and he cheated. I never saw him again.
I'm a very competitive bitch!
For the Super Bowl we had a "Stupid Bowl" which was a gaming competition between the two of us complete with brackets and about 10 games. It ended with me drunk, making snow angels in the backyard by myself. :-D

I sure hope so because beer pong it one of my favorites even though I'm way past college age. I like to play with wine now that I'm a "grown up." It's classier and gets you drunk faster!
@kmdecoux @Buttmonkey34 I second Apples to Apples! I love that it's easy (and almost necessary) to play in a big group of people...you really get to know someone's sense of humor playing that game!
How do you play it?
Fast as shit
Why do you play it?
To get fucked up!!!?

My most favorite game EVER is called Eternal Sonata. Everything in the game has a name with a music reference and it has this back story about Frederic Chopin and you are in his dream world. I don't really understand the whole dream part (even after playing it all the way through like 10 times) but it's the greatest thing ever. :-)

Wow! I didn't realize there were so many gamers here!
My afternoon is full of the sounds of Titanfall coming from the living room, and a D&D game my DH is hosting.
For video games, my all-time favorite is Dr. Mario. We live about an hour from Funspot ("The Largest Arcade in the World") which we visit at least once a year, and I would sit and play the Dr. Mario machine all day if I could. Recently, I've played Diablo 3, Gone Home (AMAZING indy game), and I'm a sucker for Peggle. We're looking forward to a lot of the Xbox One releases coming this fall!
I also love board games - I actually managed a store that sold exclusively board and card games during and right after college. @lebradford - Pandemic is my favorite!! I also love Forbidden Island (it has very similar mechanics, but way easier to set up and teach). Settlers of Catan is also a go-to for us, and I was addicted to the Ticket to Ride iPad game
Me: 27, PCOS. DH: 28, TBD.
Married since August 8, 2009
For board games I love scrabble and clue. I wish we could play clue at home more but since you need at least 3 it's not one we can play just dh and me.
I don't really play any video games on a regular basis. We have a wii, play station, and all the old systems (my h likes them) but I only play on occasion. Usually Mario games when I do though!
Me: Ovulate on my own (but poorly) DH: Low count and poor motility
Oct 2013 Uterine polyp removed
Feb 2014 First round Ferama, trigger and IUI...BFN
March 2014 Second round Ferama, trigger and iui

Hoping4LO I'm from Kentucky. I grew up on Euchre! I remember one time we went to Florida & were playing Euchre in a hotel lobby & strangers kept asking what we were playing & had never heard of Euchre. Before that I never realized it was so geographical.
I'm excited about all these games! Looking into some I've never played to try out!
