I have a moby and like it. I used it more with my first, this time I use the ring sling because it's faster to put on. I have not used any other wraps so I don't know if I would like a different one better.
I have a ring sling, baby k'tan, ergo, and a hiking backpack type carrier. I like them all for different reasons. Currently I'm liking my ring sling best for the newborn stage.
I have the JJCOLE agility wrap. I like it because its super easy to use. No folding involved. I tried the newborn position a few times and DD hated it. So I tried the inward facing position and she loves it.
I have been collecting them... My first two were the moby and the ergo. I used the moby at home and the ergo when we were out in the evenings (too hot during the day).
My third was the mei tai. Its easy to get on, quick and cooler than the ergo. I like it, but do not feet she is super secure in it.
The moby takes time to get on - especially when there is a screaming baby wanting in it!
This led me to the K'Tan. It fits and holds like the moby, but it is all put together and super quick to get on! I LOVE this one! I could go without all the others at this point in her life. I'm contemplating getting a second one, so I can keep one in the car and one in the house.
I have a Sleepy Wrap (same idea as a Moby, but knit stretchy fabric so it's a bit easier to put on) and am using it with DS (5w old) and used it with DD until she was about 18m old (in a hip carry). I also have a Maya ring sling and an Ergo and love them all for different reasons/scenarios.
So far I have the K'tan, Moby, and tried a Wrapsody. I was borrowing the Wrapsody and liked it but was only just getting used to it before I had to give it back. The K'tan I'm starting to use and like the ease of. Still feel like he is way too squished in there. The Moby has been too intimidating for me to try yet. I also tried a ring sling a few times and couldn't get to where I could put on the sling easily and feel like he was supported enough.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to keep his chin off his chest and still feel like his head is supported in ANY of these.

The Moby isn't that much harder than the k'tan, just more time consuming. The YouTube videos were helpful for me. The hardest part of the Moby is getting it tight, with enough room to slip the baby in the pouch. Once that part is working, it's not too bad.
When I slip the baby into the pouch of the Moby or k'tan, I make sure there is enough fabric by her head that I can pull it around to tuck her head in once she is asleep. Her head is frequently on her chest - I am always making sure she is breathing. She sleeps like that when being held too. She just likes her head down.
I have an ergo with infant insert but it's just so big... I was intimidated. So I bought a ring sling (actually 2) from sleepingbaby.net. She is fabulous, and has lots of videos and descriptions on how to use ring slings. I'm not sure that I'm doing it completely right yet, but already it's amazing and he definitely is supported when I wear it.
I had a bjorn with my first but she and I both got so hot when using it and there's the whole "crotch dangler" rep it has. This time around I bought a Beco Gemini and I really like it but think I'll use it more once my son is older and has more head control (he's 7 weeks now). I would up buying a k'tan and I love it! He's sleeping in it as I type. I'm able to get so much more done - even with him refusing to nap during the day if I'm not holding him. (He fell asleep while I was cleaning.) He'll even sleep in it for a whole grocery shopping trip. I can't recommend it enough.
I have a Sakura Bloom ring sling and a Mei Tai. I haven't felt confident enough to wear them in public, yet, but I like them. The ring sling a little more for right now, though I haven't figured out how to fix the fabric from getting bunched up by the ring at times. I think I will like the Mei Tai better when she is just a few pounds heavier.
I have a moby. I used it twice with DD1. I never got the hang of it and never felt like she was secure. And it was so bulky and uncomfortable. I've used it twice so far with DD2 and am doing a better job this time around, but I still dislike how bulky it is. I really want to get a K'tan but don't know if I want to spend the money or how long I'll use it.
I have a Moby and an ergo. I loooooove the ergo. The Moby is nice but I prefer the ergo, it feels secure and is truly hands free which is my main concern. I like the Moby too for snuggling but when I need to get shit done, he goes in the ergo.
Love my K'tan Breeze! Super easy to use, and not too hot!
This is what I have and really I really like it. I do worry at times that he is smooshed in it but the size up is too big so DH wears it. I can fold clothes, vacuum, and do general cleaning while wearing him.
By the way found this demonstration from Solly Baby Wrap on how to front carry a newborn. Did this position with LO and now he magically no longer feels squished in the front carry. After reading the comments on this Instagram photo I'm super happy I didn't carry him around all squished like he felt before. Had no idea infants could get hip dysplasia from an improper carry, although I did realize having him feel uncomfortable in there could be no good for him.
