I got one non slipcovered boppy for $15 at a thrift store and now a friend's mom is selling a boppy with two slipcovers for $20. Did you use boppy/ies with your twins? Would having two be worth it? Trying to decide if I should buy.
I can't tell you anything from experience.... but I plan to get two boppies. Not,only can they be snuggled into them for feedings and such but I thought they would be great for tummy time too and I can have them face each other. With my singleton I just used my Boppy body pillow.... but it isn't going to live through this, pregnancy. I am totally killing that poor thing, Ha!
I use both of mine simultaneously ALL the time. For feedings, tummy time, just chilling out, etc. If I only had one I'd likely be running out to get another.
I thought I would be using the TwinZ pillow for these kinds of things, but it's much too big and cumbersome. And at 2 months the babies fall through. The Boppies are the perfect size and they're easy to move around the house.
Awesome, thanks for the input! I'm going to go ahead and buy them-pretty proud/excited I found two for the price of one! It's nice to have a place I can ask about twin gear and what I might actually use.
I sometimes wish we had more than two so I could leave them at grandma's and the babysitters. We pack them up when we are going to be at someone's house for the better part of the day because they get used ALL. THE. TIME.
I had two boppies because I thought I would need them but I never ever use them. My boys hated using them for tummy time or even just laying in them. They'd always just wiggle their way off of them. I EBF so I never used them for tandem bottle feeding or anything. Luckily I didn't pay very much for them! I do use the tandem Brest friend pillow way more. Just my two cents!
Hmm...well I'm glad I won't have paid a whole lot of money for them in case I don't end up getting a ton of use out of them. And if I do use them a lot then what a steal!
We used two boppies all the time. Either for tandem feeding or when relatives came over to feed/hold them. It makes it way more comfortable for other people to hold them that way when they are little I think.

I used to stick swaddle blankets underneath the twin z until they got bigger, I left it upstairs for night time feeds and had the boppies downstairs to eliminate all that dragging around.

That is a good point-both DH and I have younger siblings who will want to hold babies and the boppies will probably help all of us feel more comfortable with that!
We only have one bc I had it from my oldest. There were a small handful of times when 2 would have been nice, but I hardly used it at all to begin with. I tandem nursed and bottles were done in bouncers. They are nice for supporting an early sitter, but I wouldn't buy one just for that.
We have a boppy I got when expecting DD1, and I'm in the no boppy using camp. I find the thing to be a giant pain in the rear. We use either 2 RNPs or 2 bouncers for feedings. It just didn't support or fit well enough for nursing our first daughter, much less the twins. They don't like it for tummy time, and if I were to bottle feed the twins in it, they would be mostly laying down... That mixed with a bit of baby spit up issues that we have would not be pretty. (The more vertical they sit when we feed them the better).
@dtremel, many people use the My Breast Friend (twin version). I had it but returned it because it was huge and cumbersome and I ended up breastfeeding one at a time and then pumping and bottle feeding when I returned to work when they were 10 weeks.
D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013
Two healthy boys weighing 4 lbs 15 ozs and 4 lbs 5 ozs. Only 6 days in the NICU and getting bigger, stronger and cuter every day!
I didn't need them for nursing, but I use them both all the time for bottle feeding and just giving babies a propped up view. My daughter has reflux a little and it helps to prop her up on a boppy after she eats. I wish I had more of them - some downstairs, some upstairs. They don't like bouncers much and only go in their swings to nap.
The plus side is that if you get the one with two slipcovers, you'll have an extra for your non-slipcovered one!
btw - you can find Boppies all day long on craigslist around here. A nice high heat cycle through the w/d will kill anything they might be harboring.
