TTC After a Loss

NTTCALR: a wavy hair question

My hair is usually up in a clip or some kind of a messy bun/chignon for work.  I have naturally wavy hair when air-dried.  Well today, it looked halfway decent down with the waves so I left it down.  My question is this: if you've got naturally wavy hair, what type of product do you use in your wet hair to define the wave and keep it from frizzing?  Gel is to sticky for me and sometimes plain mousse doesn't tame the potential frizz.  I'm willing to pay a little extra (more than typical drug store item prices) to be able to wear my hair wavy.  What are your suggestions, preferences and non-like items?  Thanks in advance, my wavy/curly haired friends! :D ;;) >:D<

Re: NTTCALR: a wavy hair question

  • Hands down, Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. It gives my hair some texture, I thought it was a little funny at first but now don't mind it. Not sticky or anything, just texture. Keeps the frizz down, not crunchy... I don't even comb through after i shower, i just spritz it in and scrunch and let it air dry.
@Amybunny30 Thanks! Where can I find Bumble stuff?  Target-type stores or a little more "high end"?

  • My hair is wavy and super thick. I use a Pantene curl creme when it's wet. Then I hit it with Garnier curl shaping spray gel. I also don't wash my hair everyday so day 2&3 I just use the spray to get rid of frizz.

    PgAL welcome

I really like this Catwalk Curls Rock curl amplifier...it's kinda a mix between gel & mousse. You can air dry or use a blower w/ diffuser. Work days = air dry always. Other days I typically blow dry it. I get mine from Wal-mart.

  • Check out Miss Jessie's line of products.  I got mine off of birchbox but I think they actually carry it at target.  I have been very pleased with the quick curl product and I also own some of the deep conditioners and love them too.  My hairstylist swears by the morrocan oil curl products so I may try those next just to give them a whirl.
