3rd Trimester

37 Weeks and 4 Days

I am 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant. FTM and my cervix is showing no no no no no sign of labor ever happening. I read on here where most women start seeing dilation or your cervix thinning. I got nothing. :( Anyone had nothing too as a FTM but turned around later and went into labor? Looking for hope. I am tired and blood pressure is rising and I just want to see a end in sight ... That's all.

Re: 37 Weeks and 4 Days

  • they know. If I get worse I go to labor and delivery.... I am just scared I won't notice teh signs... I dont swell... it just rises. So now I set and wait for her to come and hope I dont miss my BP going up.... I have had it so many years I have got use to the syptoms. I am trying to watch for changes.

  • With my daughter, I NEVER dialated.  Then, they started to induce me, I got up to go to the bathroom, and my water broke. I honestly think I would prefer that to right now because I am 4 cm dialated and absolutely nothing is happening either!  Good luck!
  • Spots in my eyes and pain under my breast bone.... but I am so used to spots i dont even notice them. Shortness of breath and a pounding heartbeat is what i notice the most but he said if i get worse go... IDK.... I just wish i didnt have to count on me to know something was wrong. One time I walked around with a hemogoblen of 3 and didnt know it and almost died... finally went to the doctor and told her i was tired.

  • @babe5218 ask your OB or even call your PCP and see if they have a blood pressure machine you can bring home. I had to wear one once for 24 hours because my blood pressure was high and we were trying to see if it was a constant high or white coat hypertension.

Anyways- they might have a portable machine you can bring home and you can check your own pressure throughout the day. I do know that they sell the machines at CVS and other drug stores.
  • Go to your local pharmacy and buy an at home BP machine. I had to get one to use at home and I check my BP twice a day. If you no longer notice the signs of high BP, then this is a great solution to help you watch for spikes in your BP.  As for the rest -- it sucks but you are only 37 weeks -- let your LO bake until they are ready!!
