What brand of disposable diapers do you prefer? We liked the Huggies the hospital had but now DS (6 days old) pees straight through them. We had trouble with his stools leaking through the Pampers. Is there a better brand?

I was given some Luvs, which don't have a wetness indicator but go really high up the back and seem to hold everything in well lol. Now that DD is 9 days, I know when she's wet so it doesn't matter. I have to say I'm disappointed with the pampers too but the wipes are good. Huggies wipes were just falling apart on me.

I like pampers I've never had any issues with them, huggies i have all the issues with. It's the only brand DD explodes out of.

We used huggies the hospital supplied and they were working fine until DD started pooping and we had leaks. We like Pampers Swaddlers best now.

pampers swaddlers have been working great for us. no leaking. we used an off brand a few times that someone gave us at our shower and we had a lot of leaking issues, so sticking to pampers.

Pampers swaddlers for new born and changed to Luvs for DS1 at size 3.

Pampers all the way. You could always try a size up to help curb the leaks. I know when DS was little anytime he would leak out of diapers a lot, it meant they were too small. Even though he was still within the weight range for the diaper size.

Thanks I will try this. Two outfit/sheet/mattress cover changes in one over night have me really frustrated.

I love the pampers swaddlers. Dd is still in then at size 4! Huggies were awful and she leaked something fierce even if I had a bigger size. I've got DS in size 1 now with no issues.

We're doing cloth from here on out, but we really liked the Pampers Swaddlers the hospital supplied.

Like @snowflake91011‌ said, make sure he is pointing down. Otherwise he will pee out of any diaper. But it's also a bit of trial and error. Some diapers are wider, some are taller, some narrow, some short.

My DD could only wear Huggies— she would break out in bleeding diaper rash in one diaper from any other brand. With DS, though, he pees through Huggies. I've tried Luvs and Up&Up, and they're just not good enough. We primarily use cloth, so cost isn't an issue for us, I *only* but paper when we are battling really terrible diaper rash (he gets awful teething rashes) but Pampers Swaddlers are the only brand that contains him.

I love the pampers swaddlers, we had those in the hospital. I had some LUVs but she leaked right out the sides. I have not tried Huggies.

I think it all depends on each baby. I would buy small packs each time until you find a brand that you like.

We liked the pampers swaddlers the hospital gave us. I also got some babyganics brand at my shower and I really like them, they hold a lot of pee!!

As PP have said make sure he is pointing down in the diaper. Only time I've had a leak problem has been when he's pointed up and peed over the top.

I love the honest company diapers and wipes! They are great for sensitive babies and so cute! Their diaper cream and hand sanitizer is awesome too
