placenta cyst?

Hey , I'm currently 14w 4d and I was informed at 13 weeks I have a cyst on the bottom of my placenta. I was asked to get another ultrasound this past Wednesday and the cyst is stabilized so the doctor wants me to do another us next week to keep monitoring. I asked if it was something to be concerned with and the doctor said the baby is doing fine and the cyst will most likely resolve itself. I'm just wondering if anyone has had one of these and the outcome of such a thing?

    This happened to me. The cyst ruptured (on it's own) and I bled a lot for about 5-10 minutes. I went into the er thinking something was really wrong but it was normal. The cyst was gone and baby was great. It should have no effect on the baby if it ruptures. My doctor told me I didn't need to go to the er but I have had a miscarriage and thought it was happening again. Since it is outside the placenta it shouldn't cause any problems. Just very scary when it ruptured. My doctor said it was rare to rupture.

    The same thing happened to me as well and it did rupture. Bled for about an hour and then everything looked completely fine. No problems since and that was at 10 weeks.
