Glucose test and Feel behind being due end of the month lol

I always feel i am behind since im due at the end of the month but finally doing the glucose test now! Lol i was given a choice of orange and fruit punch- i picked orange. It wasnt bad at all!! However the hour wait is tough and i wanted to leave and come back but they are not letting me go lol wish me luck! Just hope i pass.

Good luck ladies! I had the option to go anytime between 24-28 weeks so just decided to get it over with lol

I'm due November 9 and I'm not doing mine until next week. My understanding was that it could be done between 24-28 weeks. I think most of the tests that we have to complete have to be done in a time frame. You're not behind.

I'm due November 15th and my test isn't scheduled until September 8th. I'll be 30 weeks. So I think you are good, not behind at all.

I'm due the dreaded November 28th and I'm doing my glucose test in a couple hours. Got the orange stuff too, though I didn't have a choice. Glad to know it's not bad.

I'm due on the 25th and also get frustrated that there are ladies that are a month ahead! I had my first glucose test early, in the first trimester, because of huge family history. I failed the one hour, passed the 3 hour, but have to repeat the 3 hour at the end of next week because the level of hormone that causes insulin resistance in pregnancy peaks around 28 weeks. I hated both tests. I had orange both times. The first time the solution was warm, GROSS. Having the drink chilled was a big improvement even if it was still kind of gross.

Mine isn't until early September at 29 weeks. Thankfully they gave it to me at my last appointment to take home so I can drink it an hour before my next appointment and won't have the dreaded wait at the doctor's office.

Its funny for me the lab said they have to keep me there until i drink it and for the whole hour. I really wanted to leave and come back. They said no lol. Like they were actually watching me

Thats great! Thats what i had done with my first pregnancy but now i couldnt even leave the lab for a walk.

I'm due the 23rd and mine isn't till the end of the month. My dr does it around 28 weeks.
They sent it home with me last appt and I'm supposed to drink it 30 min before arriving for my appt. So, I see the dr, have my blood drawn and I'm out the door. Sorry you have to wait around.

Unless you have the risk factors for getting GD you can take it anytime between 24 and 30 weeks and be fine. Most of those who are finding out already, like me, have risk factors or a history of GD. I had GD with my oldest but not the soon-to-be middle child; so my OB wanted me to test a little earlier. I passed my 3 hour.

The test isn't bad just boring and I liken the drink to a melted popsicle or flat soda. Even the 3 hr isn't terrible even though you have to drink twice as much. Chugging the drink instead of sipping it and rinsing my mouth out with water helped as well. I felt a little jittery with my 3 hr but that was all and to pass the time I took my computer and watched Captain America.

I'm due on the 27th & my doctor hasn't even mentioned it, let alone scheduled it. I have a check up on Monday, so I'm assuming they will advise me then!
