Blood Sugar Level after Delivery

Those of you who had GD during pregnancy, have you tested you blood sugar level after delivery?

I got 100 and 101 in fasting. As all new moms know we all are sleep deprived. I don't know if this has to so with the number. I can't wait for my 6 weeks appointment, I hope I dot have diabetes. Since baby was born, I had been adding carbs and sugar back in my diet.

    I haven't had baby yet with this pregnancy, but with DS I also had GD. I remember testing my blood sugar a couple times in the hospital after a meal and it was higher still, but after I went home I just gave up on testing at all.

    Some things I read say as soon as the placenta is gone you should go back to normal, but I have also read that it can take several weeks to go back to normal. I would try to forget about it for now, and test again in a few weeks to see what your numbers looks like.

    I tested after lunch ( had white rice and protein and veggies) and had good number , I am relieved.

    I haven't tested yet after delivery. We just delivered last night but I do know my numbers were great all through delivery. My doc suggested waiting at least a few weeks before testing in the hopes my hormones were more back to normal by then.
