vent about brown spotting

On Sunday FI and I had some sex. The next day, I noticed a small amount of brown discharge, and it continued on Tuesday. When I googled it, many sites said this sometimes happens pursuant to sex in the second and third trimester. So I brushed it off. When it didn't stop by Wednesday, I called the doctor. I WISH I HAD DONE THIS FIRST!! 

Turns out I have a YEAST INFECTION that's causing the spotting--shocking, because other yeast infections I've had in my life were accompanied by other symptoms. (In other news, my baby is doing just fine).

The moral of this post is, don't be a goon like me and rely on the internet to resolve issues that you secretly know, in the back of your mind, deserve a call to a medical professional.

    Glad baby is doing ok. Hang in there! Yeast infections are a biiiyatch :(

    I am glad you got it figured out...  (And in a way it's nice you didn't have that horrendous itchy misery?)

    This is an excellent PSA! I wish we could link to it every time we get a rando asking questions that should be answered by a doctor (although, I agree with pp that I probably would have shrugged it off as well without any other symptoms).

    I'm so glad they figured out what was wrong and that your baby's doing well :)
