Induction with plans to go epi free turned into an emergency c-section (ungraceful13's birth story)

8/11 I went in for an induction. They started cervidill and then pitocin. Pit was seriously a bitch to get through and my contractions were right on each other for a long time. I handled it for about 6 hours pain med free and only getting to 2 cm's before I decided to get the epi. It was wonderful sweet relief. I settled in for a long night and my doctor was sent to work out. After 30 minutes my water broke. I called the nurse and she went to check me. She finished breaking my water and then started screaming, "I have feet in my hands and yelling at my doula to pull the emergency switch on the wall. 6+ people rushed in the room. And it was determined that he was breech with foot presentation. They called my doctor and brought in another doctor and wheeled me to the OR. During this time a nurse had her hands inside of me holding his feet in. The on call doctor said they were going to try to hold off until my doctor go there to let him decide if he would deliver vaginally or c-section. They got me prepped for a section and at one point his feet were hanging out of me and they were tickling them to get them back in. My doctor rushed in and he said he wasn't comfortable with delivering vaginally so they finished setting up for the c-section. The section went well and he cried almost immediately and they let me see him before taking him to be checked over.
I had the shakes really really bad and struggled with holding him at first but it eased up and we have been getting to know each other. My mom brought up DD to meet him and she was in love. Didn't want to let him go when it was time to leave. We came home today but DD stayed with my parents one more night so we could have a night to get settled.  So far all is well and breastfeeding is going well. It wasn't what I planned but I am happy he is here and we are both ok. He weighed 7lbs and 2 ounces and is 20 inches long. His name is Everett.
