Well it's been awhile since I have made a post, I have been in waiting land. Finally had my first appointment with my RE and he is super funny which made the appoinent less awkward. So he scheduled some test and they confirmed I have PCOS.which is what we have suspected the whole time. Anyways... So he is planning on starting me on Letrozole. Is there any thing I should know before I start taking this? Any side effects ?? I'd rather ask people who have taken this before then looking on web md or some other internet site. Thanks in Advance!

July 2014: Femera 5mg CD 4-8, Trigger, IUI = BFN
May 2018 after long period of not trying, starting adoption process with family friend's newborn

Gathering info for IVF...
2008: HSG (normal), couple rounds of clomid through gyno
2008 - 2010: dragging my feet out of fear and procrastination
October 2010: first consultation with RE, dx PCOS and fibroids (DH slightly low count/motility)
Oct. 2010 - Dec. 2012: In DENIAL! avoided the issue because I was scared of surgery
January 2013: returned to RE, fibroids grew significantly
February 2013: second HSG, fibroids pushed on tubes which blocked them somewhat
March 2013: MRI to determine what type of surgery may be necessary
July 29, 2013: fibroids (5) removed via robotic laparascopy
August 2013 - Nov 2013 : benched due to recent surgery
IUI #3, Feb. 25, 2014 BFN
IUI #4 canceled due to lack of response to letrozole
IUI #4.1 April 28, 2014, BFN
May 16, 2014: wtf consult, start prepping for IVF in June and add injects for one last IUI in the meantime
IUI #5 started letrozole and bravelle but canceled after HSG led to new diagnosis
May 21, 2014: third HSG, tubes blocked, one at the beginning, one hydrosalpinx??
IVF #1 August 8, 2014 - 3dt of 2 embryos, BFN
September 17, 2014 - 4th HSG, the right tube is very patent (open!!) dye went straight through this time. Weird!
October 2, 2014 - started metformin treatment
November 14, 2014 - blood work, brought A1C down from 5.8 to 5.5
November 26, 2014 - RE finally back from vaca and reviewed my chart, no more IVFs for rest of calendar year
December 1, 2014 - Right after Thanksgiving, I called a new clinic and got in right away! Plan for IVF
December 17, 2014 - ER! 29 retrieved (!!), 16 mature, all 16 fertilized (ICSI)
IVF #2 December 20, 2014 - 3dt of 3 embryos, BFN
We are done with treatment unsuccessfully.

May 2014 - TSH retested, higher than 1st test. Start on Synthroid. DH SA (Normal)
June 2014 - Start on DHEA, CO-Q10, New brand of Prenatals
July 2014 - Cycle came on its own, b/w on CD2, TSH (normal), Femara CD3-CD7, CD14 - u/s + Ovidrel + baby aspirin regimen. IUI #1 B2B on CD15/16 - BFN
August 2014 - u/s on CD3 normal, Femara CD3-CD7, u/s CD12, Ovidrel on CD13. IUI #2 B2B on CD 14/CD15 - BFN.
September 2014 - u/s on CD3 normal, Femara CD3-CD7, u/s scheduled for CD12

@catlover790 they want to see how I respond to the letrozole first, then if I respond well we will try naturally TC for three months then if no luck move on to an IUI. I'm still a little new what is an MFI? they actually started me on Metformin 1500mg and 10 days of provera. once AF start I call for an ultrasound to check for cyst because I have PCOS. and then I will start the letrozole on day 3-7. that's all the info I have for now
That sounds like a good plan! I'm glad you can get started soon! MFI is male factor infertility. I was just curious about your treatment plan but it sounds good so far! Good luck this cycle!
