Food preferences?

I keep seeing people saying their baby loves this or hated that... not so much with my kid. She's eaten pretty much everything we've tried with an equal lack of enthusiasm. Not picky at all, but not excited or seeming to enjoy anything on particular, either.

Is she the only one? I keep hoping steel get really excited about something, but so far, no dice.

  • Ds1 was like your lo. He eventually got excited about greek yogurt.

  • I've never really noticed any of my kids having actual preferences at 6 months old.  I have always said things like, "He loves sweet potatoes!" but that's more of a figure of speech in my case.  Hey, they didn't spit them out or cry. Must love them :)

  • LO loves everything so far except peas. We recently started doing mixed purees. His favorites so far are zucchini/apple, sweet potatoe/apple/cinnamon and pears/mango.

  • Mine is the same, she just wants to eat everything (BLW), but nothing really gets her excited. Except for broth, she lost her shit over that. She was screaming and grabbing for the mug and spoon, if I took too long getting her another sip, she flailed and yelled. I took that to mean she liked it haha
  • He has been excited about applesauce and pears and not so excited about everything else.  And by excited, I really just mean opens his mouth.
  • LO seems to like everything but bananas. She will take most everything I give her. She will take all the purees, and she will chew on everything during her BLW meals. But I'll be darned if I can get her to eat a banana, whole or puréed.
  • Ok, glad my kid's not being weird. No matter what we feed her, she leans forward and opens her mouth, but doesn't like, smile or seem happy about it! ;-)

I'm going to try giving her some chunks of avocado this weekend just on her tray, we'll see if she seems any more interested when it's self feeding time.
