STMs -- I'm a FTM and my husband and I would love to get a head start on learning. what are some of the best parenting books you would recommend? Thanks!
That's the only book I've owned. Trying to think of others. I have a number of resources, journal articles and other sites that focus on breastfeeding and AP style parenting. But that's the only book I can think of for the infant/young toddler stage.

Happiest Baby on the Block, for sure. I got the follow on, Happiest Toddler on the Block, but it wasn't quite as good, IMO.
I'm still not sure how much I really buy into a special "baby language", but Dunstan Baby Language stuff came out around the time DD1 was born, and I do know that I could distinguish between the different cries a lot better because of Dunstan's ideas (especially "neh" for hungry). You can find a lot of stuff online about it, but here's the website: https://www.dunstanbaby.com/
I've read : happiest baby on the block ( didn't work) What to expect Baby's first year (loved) Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child (loved) Montessori Parenting (crunchy but ok) Baby development everything you need to know (ok) Montessori from the start 0-3Y (crunchy but interesting) Reviving Ophelia (deep and something I'll reread in 5 years when she is closer to being a tween)

Reviving Ophelia is worth reading and thinking about. I'll definitely want to re-read as well.

In loving memory of sweet baby HP, and all our angel babies. Forever in our hearts.
I highly recommend "Brain Rules for Baby" by John Medina. It talks about your baby's brain development and how that ties into their behavior and skills. It was really wonderful for me as a FTM to get insight into the "why" behind what I was seeing.
I also really like "How Toddlers Thrive" by Tovah P. Klein. Obviously this one is appropriate for when your LO is older, but I ran into some "toddler" behaviors with my older son starting at about a year. It was very helpful in discussing discipline ideas and scenarios that felt more like "teaching appropriate behavior" instead of "punishing the kid".

It's one of the books sitting in my amazon cart, but I haven't pulled the trigger.
