Re: ***December Angels Check-In 8/13***
How the heck are you lady?!
AFM: I had my last Lupron injection last Thursday. Wooohoooo! But the effects will be with me at least for the next month until transfer..... My RE is looking at possibly October 3rd for the transfer.....yikes! As for the Lupron..... Now I'm nauseous all the time :-??
I spent my entire road trip vacay with a doggy poop bag (clean of course) attached to my face. I even at one point had a fire truck full of fireman laughing at my vomiting as we drove down a particularly winding road from Lake Tahoe...... My DH thought it was amusing that I was being laughed at....I did not. I really hope that this is the very last time I have to do the Lupron and this next transfer sticks!
Much love to everyone! Xoxo

AFM: Yes, CD1 and if everything goes well at CD3 u/s and b/w, I will start a lovely cocktail of injectables! I could be looking at egg retrieval the last week in August. Everything crossed!!
@O2girl - Yay for no more Lupron and October!
QOTW: I would have to say the one song that triggers the most response out of me is "Let My Love Open the Door" by Pete Townshend. It was our wedding entrance song and it still gets me super excited when I hear it on the radio.

@O2girl- Hurray for the end of your injections, but boo for the lingering side effects!! I don't have any experience with Lupron, but a good friend of mine had terrible swelling/water retention, nausea, etc. She would constantly have to remind herself, "It'll all be worth it!"
@LeslieM0901- I have everything crossed for you as well!!
QOTW- Beginning last October when I had my first loss, I began listening to only the local positive/encouraging radio station when I'm in the car alone. Sometimes it makes me tear up, but in the end it does really lift my spirits. Not that I don't appreciate other stations/genres of music (I'm a country girl at heart!).
@Lesliem0901 FX for great results on Friday!!! I've never heard of that song. I'll have to look it up.

O2girl: I'm so excited for you about finishing Lupron and scheduling your transfer!!! I'll have everything crossed for you!! I really hope the nausea gets better!
Lesliem0901: Good luck with injectables!! Wishing you an easy cycle!
mrsjg2013: That's cool that you have a station like that :-)
As for me, I'm feeling TONS better. I lost all the weight (the TWELVE pounds I gained in FOUR days after ER from OHSS), so I can finally breathe / pee / eat, so that makes things so much easier. I'm just about finishing AF now and the RE offered to do the embryo transfer this cycle for me, but since my body had just gone through so much trauma, I had major anxiety about it and was scared to 'waste' the embryo on my body if it wasn't ready. So he's putting me on birth control for a month to chill my body out, and then we'll plan a FET cycle after I get my next AF...so hopefully at the beginning / mid-October if my body cooperates (which that's a lot to ask of it to do, seeing as my usual cycle is anywhere between 50-70 days...).

TTCAL-wise: If you didn't see my return from vacay post, H & I have decided to focus our efforts towards adoption. I'm considering going back on BCP (possibly in Jan. at my next yearly visit) but that's not definite yet.
QOTD: I have a few songs that come to mind.
1. The Hawaiian version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'...my HS English teacher dubbed it the "Happy Song" and played it during tests. The mothers/bridesmaids walked down the aisle to it in our wedding. It is a significant song in my life for so many reasons and truly is my "happy song"
2. Kokomo by the Beach Boys
3. Big Balls by ACDC

SO and I finally had "the talk" ... actually it more like I talked and he just listened, but I told him that I need to try for a baby. I told him how important it was to me and he seemed to understand. He said the bottom line is that he wants me to be happy and if that's what it's going to take, then OK.
This is FW for me and we've been doing the EOD thing ... I usually O by CD20 but this is CD19 and I still haven't had a close to positive OPK, so I don't know what's going on with my body. It's frustrating. I wanted to go out of town this weekend to see my parents but I don't want to miss O day either... Ugh!
I do read a lot - it helps pass the time. I've been reading a lot of books by Laine Moriarty. The one I'm reading now is called "What Alice Forgot" and it's about a 39 year old woman who suffers a head injury and loses 10 years of her life - she thinks she's 29 about to be starting her life with her husband ... only in reality, she's in the process of getting divorced and her life didn't turn out at all how she'd thought it would. It's interesting.
QOTW: I can think of so many sad songs that I can relate to ... it's hard to find a happy one that brings a smile to my face.

@lyndz333 More (((HUGS))) lady. A loss is a loss, and your pain & disappointment is warranted. Did she say if you should wait a cycle or were clear to start trying right away? Many Drs don't feel you have to wait to try again after a CP. Of course you should do whatever you emotionally comfortable with even if you are medically cleared.
We'll be looking into Domestic Infant adoption. I have been looking at some agencies...it's a little overwhelming frankly.

Thank you for the hugs & positivity!!! Very much appreciated! I know there are adoption counselors, but I was under the impression they worked for individual agencies. There are numerous agencies in my home state (OK) alone. I'm currently just trying to decipher which agency is the best fit/way to go. IDK this is all foreign territory so if anyone has any advice or helpful tips I'm all ears.

AFM, I'm still on a treatment break. I've been trying to at least walk every day and make better food choices. Last Sunday, we went to a park with a jogging trail and workout stations spread throughout. The soreness has finally just gone away in time for me to kick my own butt again this weekend!

@blackbird818- Best of luck to you in your journey to adopt!!
@ky29- Best wishes for a positive/healthy outcome to your family emergency.
@kistyw13- Glad your first RE meeting went well. FX that she will get you on the right path leading straight to your rainbow!!
@jjbmstinco- Back to school for me on Monday. Definitely going to be a few weeks before I get back into a school-year sleep schedule! (I'm soooo not a morning person!) Best wishes to you for a good year!
@lyndz333- I have gotten the "bad luck" diagnosis for all three of my losses- not having a real answer is tough, but I imagine getting a difficult answer would be hard as well. We're trying some preventative things with FX for next time... it's hard to not do everything possible to cover all the "maybe's." Best wishes and big ((HUGS)).
@jennadesigns- Glad you were able to talk to SO about your feelings. Thanks for sharing that book title- it sounds interesting! I'm a reader also, but have been finding myself spending too much time reading books that I know my high school students are reading! Time for some adult novels- I may just get that on my Kindle this week
@medic7979- Glad AF showed up!! 10 weeks does seem so long, but I just realized I'm going on 10 weeks as well. I have (hopefully had!) some retained tissue, so my situation may be a bit different than yours, but did your Dr say how long they would let you go before intervening? I'm assuming BCP would be the first thing to try to regulate a cycle. I asked so many questions the last time I was with my RE, but that was one I hadn't considered because I've been so regular.
@StephieMK progress is progress so keep it up lady. Diet is 80% of the equation. Honestly as much fun as I had on vacay, I was glad to be back on my meal plan after we got back. If you keep making good choices, it'll become habit soon. Not to say that I don't still crave a chocolate chip cookie from time to time =P~
@ky29 I have to admit I felt officially OLD helping move her in. It was probably compounded by the fact that she's going to the same college I went to....that & the fact that she was 6yrs old when I went to college @-)

So I was putting off making this post in the hopes that AF would rear her head and apparently it worked. I started spotting a little bit on Thursday at work. Very Very light pink. And then the cramps hit Saturday, but still just spotting. I went to hang out with my friend today (sunday) and got home and low and behold there she was. Never thought I would be so happy to see it. Now hopefully this means I can get back to normal.
If I could ask for a few prayers this week I would appreciate it, our new classes start tomorrow and we have a whole class of little ones (I work in a daycare in the infant room.) I'm hoping to have the strength to get through the week with as little unhappy thoughts as possible.
QOTD: I don't know if I necessarily have a favorite song. I love all music (mostly) and find that most anything can put a smile on my face.
