Happy Wednesday, ladies! I'm excited to see how everyone is doing this week.

One more week down and that much closer to meeting our sweet LO's!

Just a reminder that this is a weekly check-in for those of us who start a new week of pregnancy today. If you are new, please feel free to jump in, give us your EDD, and welcome!

How far along are you/fruit/EDD? 31 weeks/pineapple/10-15

How are you feeling? Symptoms? Feeling pretty good aside from the usual. I asked the NP about this weird pain/numbness I've been having along my bra line on the right side at my appointment last week. She thought it was maybe nerve pain from the pressure. But, I don't know. I'm going to mention it again at my next appointment to my ob and see what she says. I can't really sleep on my right side anymore because of it.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? Next appointment is in a week. Just maybe some t&ps that my ob can figure out what to do about the weird pain and that I haven't gained TOO much in the last couple of weeks.

GTKY: If you could meet any fictional character (movie, book, poem, cartoon, etc) who would it be and why? This seemed like a good question when I picked it...but it's harder than I thought to pick one character! I guess I'd say either Captain Picard or Captain Janeway from Star Trek (yes I'm a nerd and I imagine you know by now how much I love Star Trek). They are very similar captains, though Picard is my favorite. I think it would be cool to talk to them about ethics, other cultures, space, and how starships work/science.

How far along are you/fruit/EDD? 7 wks, blueberry, April 1

How are you feeling? Symptoms? Feeling pretty good. Had super smell yesterday, tired as usual, insomnia is back now that hubby has gone back to the job site for the next 6 weeks. Still some minor cramping but not as frequent, still have enlarged boobs but they dont hurt so that is a blessing, still have major brainfog and I'm starting to think it will be with me the remainder of this pregnancy. No ms thank god!

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? Blood draw for thyroid check and first US next Friday - t&p for good TSH numbers and if I need a med adjustment that they caught it in time.

GTKY: If you could meet any fictional character (movie, book, poem, cartoon, etc) who would it be and why. This is a tough one - my favorite movie (and book) is 'The Princess Bride' and I would love to meet the Buttercup from the book and tell her to get some smarts...in the book she is portrayed as not very intelligent but she has promise. Oh and to give her a high five for telling that rotten Prince Humerdink he is a coward and the slimiest weakling ever to crawl the earth!

i have a checkup this afternoon with the NP. maybe she can give me guidance on who to pick for a new OB, and possibly some help with my SI joint problems...or refer me to a PT or something. OH, and my cat is fine, and it was quite expensive but not as bad as we thought.

oooooh, that's a tough one. probably claire randall/fraser from the outlander series, lol. she's pretty tough.

@classicstar - that pain you're getting sounds really weird. i hope you can get some advice. captain picard is a good choice! i have a hard time with janeway though...she's a lot less believable as a character to me, which makes me sad since she's the only female captain. she needs more character flaws! lol.

@classicstar28 - sorry to hear about the numbness/pain on your right side

. I hope your OB is able to shed some more light on it for you. Are you all settled back into regular life now that you're home from your vacation?
@boxermamax2 - FX for great TSH numbers!!
@longcat07 - I'm so glad to hear your cat is doing alright and that it wasn't as bad as you thought it might be. It's still so upsetting when our furbabies get hurt/sick. GL finding a new OB to work with!
How far along are you/fruit/EDD? 23 weeks, baby is the size of a grapefruit! (That seems huge!)

How are you feeling? Symptoms? I feel pretty good. Other than my continued hip pain, I can now add neck pain to the mix. I'm scheduling a chiropractor appointment to get that looked at.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? Nothing coming up for a few more weeks! ((((Hugs)))) and T&Ps to all who need 'em.

GTKY: If you could meet any fictional character (movie, book, poem, cartoon, etc) who would it be and why? Oops, I forgot about the GTKY question. Hmmm, I think if I could meet any fictional character it would be Peter Pan. I'd love a midnight fly to neverland.

@carlsonbaby2014 - i miss going to the chiro. i never felt better than when i was going regularly. not covered by insurance now, and we can't afford it OOP. i hope your neck feels better!

@mmheartspb - (((big hugs))) and T&P that your anxiety pipes down! i'm sorry you're having so much stress right now.

How far along are you/fruit/EDD? 27 weeks (calling it and saying finally 3rd trimester!)/ rutabaga/11/12/14 How are you feeling? Symptoms? Well my little one loves my ribs so we consistently battle each other. He's been moving around more and been seeing my belly dance. So I am loving that. I could however use more sleep! Waking up at 3:30/4:00 am is really running me down. Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? I am nervous for my appointment tomorrow. I get to drink that sugary drink and have my glucose test done. So if you could send me positive vibes! GTKY: If you could meet any fictional character (movie, book, poem, cartoon, etc) who would it be and why? I really can't say I have one lol

@boxermamax2 Hurray for no ms! Brainfog I think is pretty normal the whole way through. For me, it's because I'm spending so much time thinking about the baby that I can't concentrate on anything else. I need to read "The Princess Bride." I've seen the movie many times, but never managed to read the book.

@longcat07 How did your appointment go? Did you get any help with choosing a new ob and/or the SI joint problems? I'm glad your cat is fine and it wasn't as expensive as you thought it would be. You are absolutely right about Janeway. She really doesn't have many flaws. I can't really think of a single vice that she has. But, I still like her as a captain, just not as much as Picard.

@carlsonbaby2014 I really don't feel like life has settled back into "regular" life yet. We had a number of events over the weekend and I've been out doing stuff the last few days while he's been at his professional development for this school year. I've barely been home!! Hopefully the rest of the week will be a bit calmer and we'll settle back into a routine. Or not since my baby shower is in a week and a half...
I hope the chiropractor can help with the pain you're having. It seems they are very helpful for the pain. I only saw one for a couple of months after a car accident so I have very little personal experience. Flying off with Peter Pan to Neverland sounds pretty fun.

@mmhearspb I'm so sorry you're having such a rough time right now. Appointments are difficult. I remember at 19 weeks we had our anatomy scan and I just about lost it with pgal brain taking over. Hopefully the cramping is nothing. I've had some way down low and it's always been intestinal issues. Other stresses just make everything worse. I don't have any advice since I'm awful at relaxing when I'm extremely stressed/anxious. But, I'll be sending you lots of peaceful vibes and asking the universe to help you through these rough days. Lots of (((HUGS))). And yeah, Mr. Darcy. If I hadn't gone with my Star Trek captains, my next thought was Elizabeth and Darcy. Pride and Prejudice is one of my all time favorite books.

@whiteroses05 Yay for 3rd trimester!! I hear you on the ribs. I love feeling Lilly move around and watching my belly moving, but not a huge fan of her sticking her feet and hands up into my ribs. I've given up on trying to get her to stop pushing on them and rubbing up against them. FX that your glucose test goes well! For me, the drink wasn't TOO bad, but it really wasn't fun sitting around afterward. Are you doing the 1, 2, or 3hr?

@RN536 Is your tingling/pain in one spot or all the way across? Mine is just in one spot about the size of a half dollar and about an inch to the right of my sternum. I'm hoping it is just nerve pain and not something else weird/more serious. And yay for V-day!!! Sorry you are feeling crabby and that I seem to think up super hard questions!

@classicstar28 Thanks for the check-in, love. I am sorry to hear about the pain, FX your doc has an idea of what is going on next week. On the note of maybe it being your bra, have you gotten fitted recently? Maybe a size up would help?

@mmheartspb big big (((HUGS))) I am so sorry that you are having a hard time right now. I hope your appointment goes well. Keep in mind that so much stuff is stretching and growing right now, so cramping can be normal.

34 weeks / butternut squash / 9-24

How are you feeling? Symptoms?
Pitting edema, big, achy...

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?
I am going to just make my own big AW post with more details, but the quick run down: I spent Thursday evening in triage, went back to triage yesterday morning and ended up admitted for the night. After testing, got the official preeclampsia diagnosis today. Most importantly, Lena is doing wonderful and has passed everything with flying colors so far.

This is a hard one...Sorry to be a big boring, I'll have to think on it and come back

@anymax I've been thinking about you this week. I'm so sorry about the preeclampsia! Sounds like you've had a pretty rough week. But, I'm glad that Lena is doing well so far. I'll definitely be keeping you in my thoughts and watching for updates. (((HUGS)))

update on me: my appointment was pretty routine. i found out that they don't have you pee in a cup at this office ever, unless your BP starts going up, so that was a little weird, and she brought out the tape measure for the first time. my ute is way higher than i thought it was. i'm switching to my old OB's wife (she works at the same practice)...evidently she has a similar personality, so hopefully we'll click as well. also, they're going to refer me to PT for the SI joint pain. so yay! all taken care of. lol. i just now have FIVE weeks till my next appointment, although our a/s is in just over two with a brief follow-up after, so that'll help break up the wait.

@AnyMax - so sorry to hear about the pre-e! i'm glad they caught it though and are monitoring you and lena closely, and that she's doing great.

@RN536 - happy V-day!

i feel you on the "i hate everyone" feeling. i've been so easily irritated lately and have zero patience for anything. the fatigue not letting up isn't helping...it doesn't seem to matter how i adjust how much sleep i get, i'm always beat. i hope you feel a little better soon.

@whiteroses05 - ugh, under the ribs, on my bladder, and down into my cervix were my least favorite kick places with DS. i love the movement but i'm not looking forward to those. good luck at your glucose tolerance test tomorrow!

Thank you ladies! I am sorry but going to type this real quick then try to go back to sleep since it's 5:00 am and I have been up with my upper back hurting since 3:30 am. My test is at 1:15 this afternoon so hopefully it goes smoothly. I am am only taking the 1 hour test and since I live 45 mins away. They are allowing me to drink it on the way. One good thing about this appointment is I get to see the ob I would have as my second choice pick. I love the team of doctors and can't see myself changing. Hugs to all you ladies! Night! Lol

@classicstar28 - the princes bride book is basically the same as the movie but there are some pretty big differences -there is ALOT of the book left out of the movie so in reading the book you get alot of background information and some of the scenes in the movie actually make more sense - like you understand what Prince Humperdink throws on the ground and why when he walks into Buttercup's bedroom and finds Buttercup and Wesley on the bed together. I think I have read the book like three times and I just love it!! I hope that once you do read it you enjoy it as much as I do!

@whiteroses05 - I hope your back is feeling better and you ware able to get back to sleep! I know that when I wake up in the middle of the night and my brain gets going its almost impossible for me to get back to sleep. Good luck with the glucose test today!

Thanks to everyone for the T&P for good blood test results and a positive first us - I still have a week to go until all that happens and the anxiety about it all is driving me bonkers! Last time I found out I was pg when I was about 6 weeks and only had to wait a week and a half before my us and this time I found out I was pg at 4 weeks so all this extra waiting is like murder lol!
