Magic Merlin Sleepsuit

We've had a rough week with LO's sleeping - went from STTN to up every 3 and impossible to get back to sleep.

I bought the Magic Merlin Sleepsuit on Amazon desperate and tried it last night. She slept from 9:30-6:30 and is fed and back to sleep quickly.

Could be any number of factors that came together last night, but I'm keeping this Sleepsuit if it's what did the trick!

    Were you swaddling or no before?

    We have had her arms out of the swaddle for a few weeks

    I'm going to try one of these, too! I just realized that LO is busting out of her swaddlers and needs something new. After two nights where she's woken up 3 times each, I'm hoping I find this suit magical too. Thanks for the recommendation!

    Dumb question: do you think you could use it in a RNP? My baby has terrible reflux so he's not in his crib yet, but I want to wean from the swaddle.

    I don't know that I would use it in the rnp. It's got a little bulk to it that might shift up closer to the face if they're on an angle? Perhaps try swaddling with 1 or 2 arms out?

    We bought one and had such high hopes... But it didn't work for DS. In fact I think it made it worse because he woke up at 11 pm last night and he usually at least makes it until 2 am. But to answer the RNP question - I did put DS in it with the suit and it was fine. It actually has a very low neckline so it's nowhere near his mouth.

    I wish I could rent/borrow one to see if it works for DS instead of spending the $ first.  I bought a woombie swaddle about a month ago and it was a big waste of money.

    Yeah I talked to my cousin and she only used hers for a few nights so I'm going to resist.

    Thanks for the suggestion!  We have been unsuccessfully trying to transition from RNP (in which she sleeps through the night!).  We tried it last night and she slept 5 hours in the crib - longest stretch ever!  Let's hope it gets better from here!

    I love the Merlin sleepsuit! LO is rolling over from her back to belly now, so the swaddle is out (although, we have the Woombie with the arm holes as a back up). She was totally regressing last week and then we tried the Merlin. She will go from 7 - midnight - feed - 6 AM - feed - 8/9 AM. It's saving my sanity with having to go to work in the AM.

    Magic Merlin works well for nap at daycare- naps went from non existent or 30 minutes to 45 min-1 hour naps. She doesn't really need it at home for naps or at night but we use it anyway for consistency.
