AW: Life sucks again (sick pet, not PGAL related)

Can anyone spare some hugs?

Just when I'm breathing easy, enjoying baby kicks and feeling like our luck has finally turned... of course something goes wrong. My old beagle started having nosebleeds a couple of weeks ago, and we took him in for a bunch of x-rays and tests to find out why. F'ing Cancer, that's why. My poor boy. We lost a beloved cat to Cancer a few years ago, and watching him deteriorate was one of the hardest things I've ever been through. Of course, now I'm pregnant (and having experienced such a rough road the last couple of years with my losses) I am in no condition to even control my emotions a little, so I'm finding it hard to even look at him without crying. He seems perfectly fine, and there's no telling for how long. He'll be fine until he won't basically. If there were any amount of money that could help him, I would totally spend it, but this appears to be one of those things that I have to accept I'm powerless about. The only saving grace is that he's had a good long life, and it's not like he's being robbed of too many years anyway. It's still hard though.

Anyway, sorry to bring everyone down, but I just needed to vent it out a little. If you could spare some T&P's for my old boy I would really appreciate it!

I am so sorry. We lost two of our sweet girls to cancer. It is a horrible thing to watch in the end. Try your best to enjoy the time you still have with him because it's precious. Make a list of all the nicknames and the funny things he does.....record him playing and being happy. It'll be something you treasure later when your mind starts to forget little things. My heart is with you as I also am a huge animal lover. I will say a special prayer for your angel.

((Hugs)) I'm so sorry. The loss of a beloved pet can be so hard to begin with. But then add in everything you've been though and the pregnancy hormones on top of it, it can be unbearable. Take time to grieve this loss. Sometimes all you can do is just give your pup extra love and attention so he knows how much he means to you.

I am so sorry you got such bad news about your pup. I know that dogs become part of the family, and it's just hard to watch anything bad happen to them.

((((HUGS)))) I'm so sorry. We had a scare with our dog basically almost strangling himself to death and I sobbed for hours over it. Losing a pet is so incredibly sad and painful. Hang in there. Enjoy the time you have left with him.

I'm so sorry to hear about your furbaby. I watched my dog's health decline and it was one of the toughest choices I had to make. He was such a great dog and I still miss him. I am sure your pup knows how much you love him. Sending hugs your way.

I am sorry. Cancer sucks!!!! My little dog died about 4 years ago from lymphoma. We did two rounds of chemo, but her little body just gave up. It's so hard because they are family. Prayers to you and your fur baby!!!
