Stomach Tenderness and stabby pains in sides for 15-20 mins at a time! 36 Weeks

I am mid 36th week and for the past 3 days I've had horrible stabbing pains in the upper and lower sides on my stomach. The are long lasting too 15-20 minutes sometimes and they just go on and on not in short bursts like a contraction may be from what I've heard. My husband is concerned because I woke up last night just moaning from the pain. The pain started Monday night I had an ultrasound on Tuesday and it hurt as she was gliding the sensor over my stomach. She expressed concern and had the OB Dr. who was there take a look and she told me everything looked ok in the ultrasound and that since I have an appointment with my doctor on Thursday I can wait and talk to her. Last night I was woken up in the middle of the night because the pain was so bad and walking or picking up even light items has become painful.

Has anyone else had these symptoms? The doc at the ultrasound didn't seem too concerned but I’m in a lot of pain!

    Personally, I would call the doctor. Your doctor didn't seem too concerned that it hurt when the sensor was gliding over your stomach, but she doesn't know that you were moaning in pain last night or that you couldn't even sleep because of it. She may want you to come in today instead of tomorrow just to make sure everything is okay. IMO, you have nothing to lose by calling, so why stomach the pain for another 24 hours when you could possibly get some relief and some answers? Good luck to you!

    With pain like that I would call right away (I hope you called). I learned this from experience last time. I was having severe upper back pain and pain under my right ribs with the worst heartburn of my life. I found out a week and a half later after my babies were delivered that that pain was my inflamed liver (I had HELLP syndrome). Not saying that's what you have but if it's causing that much pain please call.
