Ugh! Semi Reese update

So, we were supposed to start delayed intensification phase of chemo last week. Unfortunately, her immune system isn't strong enough to start the chemo. We went back today and it is still not there yet. The doctor isn't concerned, because her immune system is a healthy one for having leukemia; (so no house arrest) but not strong enough to start chemo. He said there would be more risks than benefits to starting it.

I just hate waiting ANOTHER week.

*sighs* I just want it over with.

Im sorry you got not so great news. But at least the dr isn't overly concerned. Hopefully she can start her treatment next week!

My mom mentioned the only benefit is this weekend one of the foundations is having a HUGE summerfest party by us that Reese was invited to-rides, petting zoo, face painting, a freakin' toy room that they choose a toy to take home, etc. So she will be feeling good on Saturday for that event. And on Sunday we are hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand to raise money for pediatric cancer awareness, so she will be feeling good then too. And the doctor okayed her going to both of those events.
