The end of an Era

Last night my son cursed for the first time and yes, it was as a direct result of my sailors mouth.  I was helping him with his yogurt and got a bunch all over my pants and said "oh shit"under my breath.  The rest of the night he was walking around saying OH SHIT, OH SHIT.

hangs head it shame....

I guess its time to really start trying to curb my cursing.

  • I knew it was bound to happen - at least DH and no one else wasn't around at the time.  I totally tried to blow it off and not make it a big deal.  Eventually he got tired of saying it.  I love all the stories of other peoples first curse words. I still remember the first time my mom heard my brother curse - he was having blood drawn and just started dropping F bombs all over the palce.  My mom and dad were both shocked and then kept trying to hide their laughter becasue he was screaming F bombs for like 5 mins straight.

  • My DD has said ever curse word and it's completely my fault. Recently at daycare another kid had an accident and my kid yelled "oh shit!". The teacher was very impressed that she used it correctly. Lol.

I think she gets it more now that adults can say bad words but she should never repeat them. So now she always says "when I grow up, I'm gonna say bad words!"

::sigh:: set the bar high kid
  • DD has said "damn it" twice in the last two days. We are trying to ignore it so she doesn't keep saying it, but it is so hard not to laugh!
  • DS has exclaimed "Damn it" a few times recently. It's pretty embarrassing. I have no one to blame but myself.
