Ghost tour debate!!

I really want to do a ghost tour at chillingham castle. I will be 24 weeks on the date we are thinking about going and I am feeling absolutly fine apart from the sleepless nights. My sickness has passed and I don't feel as half as rotten as I did. What do you all think? Help me decide please because the people at the castle said it's at my discretion!?!

Re: Ghost tour debate!!

  • Are you just worried about waking /being tired? I'm 24w on Friday, and I feel like I would be up for it.

  • I don't understand the hesitation? is it like a haunted house, or just like a spooky tour?

It's a tour around the castle in the night!
  • As long as you are not alone, I don't see the problem. Unless you will be exhausted, but that would be for any activity, not just a ghost tour.

I feel up for it. I've always wanted to go just to see if any of it's true and now I've been asked to go. I was a bit hesitant with people saying you shouldn't get shocks when your preganant and all the other things you hear but am sure I would be fine :)
  • I guess I didn't know that! I would totally go.
  • @NikkiMN143
This has made me feel totally at ease, I'm definitely going to go for it. :)
  • I would go with you if I could, I love that kinda stuff!!

  • I wouldn't do it, but that's because I'm a giant baby! When I was a teenager, my family stayed in an old historic home converted to a hotel in Salem, Massachusetts. Made the mistake of reading the literature about the hotel's history of ghost sightings. Did not sleep a wink that night. =))
  • That sounds awesome!

  • I say go for it and I absolutely love that type of stuff. Those are like once in a lifetime adventures! Just make sure you have someone with you is all. I know I can't wait for Halloween and haunted houses coming up. My wedding anniversary is on Halloween. I know I still will be going to haunted attractions and watching scary movies even while being pregnant. I'll be in my 25-33 weeks during the haunted fun months just will be making sure my DH tags along even though he is the scared cat. Hehe..

As long as your name isn't Rosemary, I think you'll be okay going ;)

Have fun! I totally want to know if you see something cool while there.

  • I went on a ghost tour in Gettysburg a few weeks ago.  At that time, I was about 20 weeks and had no issues at all.
  • Umm. Don't think for a second that I'm going to miss the Sleepy Hollow Headless Horseman Haunt this year!  October is my favorite time in Westchester!

  • If that tour scares the baby out of you, you could probably get some kind of publicity deal with the castle. I say go for it!

  • Lol this is so incredibly weird to me. Other than walking around in the dark and possibly injuring yourself I see no reason why you couldn't go. I've never once heard that you should let things shock/scare you while pregnant.
    Have fun!
