Oh, I get it now. It's on her FB page, that's why you can't see the comments. If you go to Joyce Meyer on FB and look for that article, then you'll see them.
Lots of people were pretty outraged by such an ignorant article. Some of the ones on there actually believe this though.

I am a very conservative Christian. And while I believe that hope and faith can cure mild situational depression.
I know very well that depression is a medical issue. It's a brain issue, not a Jesus issue. And my DH needs antidepressants to get over it, not just Jesus.
i cannot stand those articles because they bring out all the "lovely" people that tend to speak for Christians and give us a bad name.
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
@ToastieSimons I am as well (not conservative really) and this article just makes my heart hurt. I can only imagine the damage this article could've done before I got help with my depression. Clinical depression is serious and it's not easy to reach for help and then to be told if you just prayed harder or did better you wouldn't be depressed [-(

I can't speak on behalf of anyone but myself, but as an addict who struggled for years, and tried many different treatments, when I finally got sober becoming a Christian saved my life. Jesus means everything to me, my whole life has turned around, I used to never believe I could be where I am today. Now I have a wonderful husband, an amazing daughter, and I am so happy! I participated in other forms of treatment and some were great, but in the end God did save my life.. I should have been dead many times.
