Mommies with outside babies...

PLEASE tell me that if you were dealing with sciatic pain PRIOR to birth, that it's either been eliminated or is VASTLY improved now that your baby is outside.

PLEASE!!  Because that single thought is the ONLY thing getting me through these last 2+ weeks; that this pain WILL get better once this baby has been evicted.

Re: Mommies with outside babies...

  • I didn't have sciatic pain during pregnancy but a good friend did and she said it totally went away after birth !

  • I can confirm this! I had pain from my right hip down to my right heel in the last couple weeks, and it disappeared as soon as DS was born. Hope the same is true for you :)

  • I have it right now and if it's not completely relieved by birth, at least the chiropractor fix will hold once the ligaments aren't so loose.

  • Thank you.  Seriously, this thought was whirling around in my mind last night.  Like, if it didn't go away, I told DH I'd be doing rehab, because I can NOT live in this amount of pain for the rest of my life.

It's SOOOO good to know that it might just take one or two adjustments to get this old, creaky body (37!  YIKES!) back on track if it doesn't go away on it's own.

  • If it doesn't go away (mine didn't) call the dr asap (I had to have disc surgery).  Seriously, don't wait!

  • The doc and I have discussed it throughout the entire pregnancy; he said I should just start rehab, and that was back in 2nd tri.  I just wasn't willing to throw the money at it then.  But...after WeeNut's out, if it doesn't resolve itself, I darn sure will!!!

  • I had TERRIBLE sciatic nerve pain. Baby's here and viola it's totally gone. Hang in there!
  • I didn't have sciatica pain but I had terrible pelvic/groin pain that went away immediately after birth.
This. Makes me so happy. I have this pain as well as sciatic. Can't wait for this to be GONE
  • Yep everything seems to just go away after they are out. You do however have new pains to deal with, but the pregnancy ones that made you want to rip your hair out just melt right away after delivery :P
