nursing pads

Hey all-

I have been using Lansinoh Nursing Pads since LO was born in April. I have tried Johnson's Contour Nursing Pads and most recently bamboobies.

I keep using Lansinoh because they are the best of what I've tried, but I don't like all of the wasteful packaging they come with and I also don't like that they don't really retain their shape when I fold them out to nurse. When I used Johnson's I totally hated the contoured pad and definitely hated the "nipple" they have built in. I bought a couple of Bamboobies reusable ultra-thin regular pads to try and they don't stay in place and you can still see the edge of the pad through my shirt. I don't have a big leaking/let down issue but I like to be safe just in case.

Has anyone tried Lilypadz? I find it weird that they are supposed to "prevent leaking."

Do you have nursing pads you can recommend?

Re: nursing pads

  • I have tried a few different ones and my favorite by far are these from motherhood: https://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=95437Z20363&MasterCategory_Id=MC29

I do have big letdowns and fill them up occasionally and find that they are both comfortable and do a fantastic job absorbing milk. The edges do occasionally show through my shirt if they slip out of place which is the only down side.

I use bamboobies and find that they're smoother if I put the heart in upside down.  Maybe give that a shot?  I like them a lot since they wash well and I no longer need a ton of protection like I did in the beginning stages.
