  We like to go to a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins to carve. We carve pumpkins. This year we are going to go to the zoo for their activities. Usually we go trick or treating around the neighborhood, but this year we will be going to a trunk or treat.

  We normally go to a friend's costume party in the neighborhood and get shitty drunk, then stumble home and hate ourselves the next day.

  We have always had friends over to our house to help hand out candy.  My parents bring their candy over and hand out at our house that way they dont have to worry about their.  dogs barking at every doorbell.  Halloween is DH's version of Christmas - he LOVES it and all the friends who would come over would help him with his haunted house setup on the front lawn and help him to scare the kids parents and teenagers. 
  
  Since all our friends have kids now it has become lower key with DH and I taking DS out to collect candy from our neighbors early on, and then people coming over whenever they are done trick or treating to just hang out while we give out candy.
