38 weeks measuring 36 weeks

Anyone else experience this? I had my 38 week appointment today and the midwife got 36 weeks. She said she isn't concerned because the baby could have dropped or it could be positioning. If I still measure behind next week they will check fluids. Now I am convinced I am going to be overdue. Only a fingertip dilated.

    My dr didn't even measure me past 37 weeks. My guess is bc it changes so much

    I measured farther ahead last week than I did this week. OB was not worried. I am measuring between 36-37 weeks.

    I always have measured 2 weeks behind. With my first, they said it was because he was sitting so low, but now I know its just because he was a peanut (born at 5lb 11oz at 38 weeks). This one has also consistently measured 2 weeks behind. I don't think it's anything to worry about. They are mostly just keeping track of consistent growth patterns.

    I have consistently measured a week behind this whole pregnancy. The MW hasn't been concerned, although she's sending be to get a growth scan on Thursday

    I am also 38 weeks and measuring 36 (and measured 35 weeks at my appt last week).  My dr. also wasn't concerned about it and said it was probably just because baby had dropped a bit.  Curious why you're concerned?

    2 weeks is totally normal on either side. My LO had severe IUGR and I was measuring 4-6 weeks behind for about 10 weeks.

    At 38 weeks I measured 36 weeks too. It was because the baby was so engaged. I delivered my DS at 40/3. Im sure it's just baby dropping :)

    Oh good to know. Thank ladies. With my son I always measured right on so this is new to me!

    At my 38, I measured 34 weeks! I measured 35 weeks at my 34 week appointment. Doctor not concerned, he said baby has just dropped, not shrinking.
