I post a little (for the most part on their 2ww thread and "waiting" threads... Whichever is applicable at the time) in trying to get pregnant....mostly because I found that board before this one and had already posted an "intro/question" there when I found this board....
They're intense there though lol but it is a good source of amusement to lurk around in when I'm bored...
I am pretty active on 3rd party repro due to my using both an egg and sperm donor (couldn't use my eggs or J's). I read PAIF and PAGL and participate lightly. I lurk on IF Vets because I was in IF w them before my first attempt and before TPR was formed. Never post though. I used to read baby names before we locked our name down. It could get ridiculous but mostly was fun/gave me ideas.
The rest are such train wrecks they're its hard to read!
Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!
It's been a long road to here... Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+! June'12 - First RE Visit Sept. '12 - Tubes removed Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies! Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13 Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect. Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!! Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!! EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl! Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long. We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
I occasionally post on Natural Birth. I lurk on Attachment Parenting, Eco-Friendly Family and SAHM, and Birth Stories but very very rarely post. I joined April 2014 Birth Club but left pretty early on. I still lurk occasionally. In the past I also really like TTCAL, and the other loss-boards, the TTC/PGAL after 35 and the July 2012 board (I was pretty active there). When TTC or pregnant I'll pop over to the big boards but its pretty hectic over there so :P
I started participating on the Infertility board when we moved to IVF. At that point we'd done 9 unsuccessful IUIs so I felt like I qualified. After my first loss, I joined TTCAL and made several friends there. Once I was pregnant (and stayed pregnant), I moved over to PAIF and PGAL. I intro'd on Parenting After a Loss once B was born, but it is a quiet board. Occasionally I lurk on PGAL to see what's going on with my pg friends there. But this is definitely home.
I was never able to deal with the stupid on the BMBs or Tri boards. There are plenty of lovely people on them but there is also a lot of drama, repetitive posts, and clueless questions. I just couldn't!
Married my wife 8/2007 ~ TTC #1 since 7/2011 9 IUIs = 9 BFNs IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31! EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14 *Everyone welcome*
I think there's just too many people on the other boards.... That's what causes chaos.... And people seem to get clicky (is that the word I'm looking for?) so even if they're "active" the oldies tend to only respond to their "friends" (unless there's a direct question)
I think that's why I like it here.... There are fewer people
@mallory4384, I completely agree about the number of posters. We are small enough that we all pretty much know one another and there is a great sense of community that comes from that. It's impossible on a board as big as TTGP, for instance.

This is the board that I post on most frequently. This is my family.
I also keep tabs on the Mpls/St. Paul local board and the March 2013 board. I lurk on a few other boards, and do my best to keep up with the big Parenting board. I enjoy the sense of humor, and direct style of communication there. I've posted enough that I think most of the regs know they've seen my avatar around, but don't necessarily remember much about who I am.

I was very active on TTGP and 3T. I thought the ladies on TTGP were lovely and I still lurk there frequently. Yes, there's a lot of snark, but they were extraordinarily supportive and I made lots of dear friends there. I related to most of the regulars so I felt like I fit in. I'm active on my BMB. Lurk on first tri for giggles. I lurk on IF to cheer on the IVF folks. Otherwise I sometimes jump around to other boards to see what they're up to.
I have never posted anywhere other than LGBT Parenting on the bump.
I lurked a little when I was pregnant at the 1st Tri, 2nd Tri and 3rd Tri boards, as well as the birth stories board. But only once in a while, and I never posted.
Now that you all know me here, I don't really feel the urge to "start over" and introduce myself to a new group. Plus, I don't feel like I really have a need (or even a desire) to post elsewhere at this point.
I am a member of a few groups on FB that a few of my mom friends IRL have invited me to join. Right now I just read their posts though, and I have yet to post/comment on anything myself.

Hi! I'm new here and looking for a home since the What to expect and fairfax cryo forums are dead. We started ttc in April and were successful, but then lost it in June. This is my first cycle since and I had my iui yesterday.
Welcome @moonlitwish I am sorry for your loss. Not everyone will look on this thread so if you intro on the main LGBT parenting thread we can all get to know you. Also feel free to join in on Mondays when we have a TTC thread.
