I'd like to TP my friend who texted me yesterday to ask a question, but started off with, "Any baby news?" Um. No. There's no baby news. I told her how I'm still waiting to get my thyroid levels rechecked, and we can't decide on a treatment plan with my RE until we know that the thyroid meds are working. Then she said, "Baby steps to get that baby!"

I appreciate that she's trying to be optimistic, and I know she thinks that's helpful, but it's not. We've been TTC for over two years, and while I have hope, I also realize that a baby isn't guaranteed. I just wish people didn't try so hard to say the "right" things, and just said things like, "I'm sorry you have to deal with all of this."

@bethkate2 ommgg i totally understand your pain..when i told my sister how devastated i was yesterday to have baby registry gifts for my neighbor show up at my doorstep RIGHT after i just said i hadnt cried in two days and was doing better..she tried her "best" to make me feel better and actually said "maybe God was just saying that you are strong and its going to be ok because maybe you were just trying to ignore it and thats never good idk"...im sorry you took me NOT crying as "trying to ignore it"....as if thats physically even POSSIBLE...so girl i totally understand your frustration!!!

@Amybunny30, TP to those parents for sure! As a teacher, I see parents like that all the time, and it makes me so angry and so sad for the poor kids.

@negritosmami, TP to your sister and ((hugs)) to you. People who haven't experienced it just have no idea what to say. I just wish they realized that a simple, "I'm sorry," would be much less upsetting than the random crap they come up with to try to make us feel better.

@bethkate2 absolutely..shes currently pregnant with her child...an accident from basically a one night stand...*sigh* life i tell ya...i dont get it anymore than i get people....maybe one day itll all make sense

You know what? Throat punch in the face repeatedly to this while damn vacation. We were having a good time (my husband and I when doing stuff alone) and then the rest of the family joins in and it turns to shit. Example: we were having pork loin for dinner as a family, my husband decided to grill it instead of baking it. Someone chimed in with "oh, I thought we were baking it!" My mil chimes in with "oh well 'menrandes' took over dinner and she decided that we were going to grill it instead." In this really accusatory tone. I'm not having a great time anyway with memories of this trip last year and being left out of everything. And I was having such a great time today too. We did a ropes course together and went biking and swimming. But apparently cliques can be in families too, but there certainly is one and we aren't a part of it.

TP to the parents who sat down near us one morning at breakfast on vacation. They had just arrived from the ferry with their maybe 7-8 year old son. He parents immediately take out their phones and are on them. The child is sitting there bored for a few minutes, then says, "I have an idea! Now we are on vacation, there should be no phones!"

His parents literally IGNORED him. I think his dad glanced up with a guilty smile then went back to his phone. The kid looked miserable. My H and I were so angry. After a few more minutes, the boy repeats, "we should all put our phones away." And was again ignored. My heart broke. I wanted to say so many things to those douchebag parents. Even if they had to send some emails or whatever, just say that then. At least acknowledge. I was almost in tears so my H quickly paid and we left to avoid one of us getting arrested.

I hope sharing this doesn't hurt you ladies too much. I will remove it if so. I just really needed to vent it out to people who understand. My H and I are still talking about it.

Oh my gosh!!! I can just imagine. I noticed now a days, so many parents (at least the one's I know) entertain their kids with cell phones to get them to stay put. I wish we could go back to pay phones sometimes!!

Mega huge TP to Facebook. 6 pregnancy announcements on my news feed! 6!!!!! If Facebook can put ads on my newsfeed according my my internet searches I'd think it would be able to hide all pregnancy related announcements from my newsfeed!

Also, huge TP to my post-miscarriage sorrow for sneaking up on me and making me ugly cry for far too long tonight.

I'm having a crappy night.

@ashtog- good for you sweetie! That is a major TP moment!

My TP is to a teacher. I know we have many of them on here, but the ones at my school must think they walk on water! At the end of the year, teachers makes recommendations for where students should go the next year. I emailed and asked for me to be invited to those meetings. No one invited me. So in May, I just moved a few students around. Well when I email a teacher that I thought I moved a diabetic student too, she emails me back and says "she is in D's room." When she saw me in the hall, she was like "did you get my email?" I told her yes I did and I was sorry I thought I had moved her. Then she was like what? and I explained that I will move students sometimes. She freaked out on me! Told me that I need to start telling teachers this stuff and "throw my weight around." She puts students in certain classes yada yada yada. oh ya and it was day 1 with these people! AHHH.

Thanks for letting me vent!

@Amybunny30‌ haha! Yeah you are right, I should view it that way. I think I'd rather do the stuff we are doing anyway rather than what they are doing. It just hurts to be left out of things.

@jjbmstinco I'm sorry your year is not starting off well : ( My school doesn't let us make any recommendations, which kind of sucks because you know which students need what types of teachers, but is good because then the "trouble" kids get split up evenly.

@Amybunny30 I wasn't even referring to my students' parents, I was more thinking of my SIL. But, you are right there are a lot of students that I end up parenting more than their parents. I get told "Teacher tell him he has to do his homework. "and " Teacher tell him he can't play video games."
