Hand pump for travel?

I currently own a Medela PISA but have an upcoming business trip where I'll be flying out of state, staying overnight, and generally in meetings all day.  I want to bring a hand pump just so I don't have to lug my PISA around and can pump on breaks.  Any suggestions/recs for a hand pump? I'm not even planning on saving the milk, but I know I can't go two days without pumping.

Any other tips for pumping on the go or during travel?

Sorry, no travel tips to offer as I haven't done so myself. However, I have the Medela Harmony and think it works really well. It's nice that I can throw it in my purse when I'm out and about.

  • I'd just stick with a hand pump, but it depends on how far along you are with breastfeeding. The one thing to keep in mind is that in case of a flight delay or something, you will have a really hard time finding anywhere to pump with an electrical (spoken from experience). No outlets on planes and hardly any in any bathrooms in the airport. Hard to find for sure.
