Re: Come on In Tuesday Ticker Change People!
Symptoms: Still pretty much the same. Still not really feeling kicks or movement. I wanted to throat punch my little app thing this week that said I should "play" with the baby by gently poking it back when I feel it kick. Grrr....
AW/Appts: Next appt Aug 29th which is the 1 hour glucose appt
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver? I believe I'm allowed 2 people, but will confirm during our hospital tour. If so, then DH and my friend Beth who is going to be our birth photographer. I always get crazy looks when I tell people that. She is a friend I've known since preschool. We're close (she was one of my bridesmaids and probably one of my 3 closest friends I have today). She recently started a photography business and I was telling her how I would love birth photos but they are so expensive. She offered to do them for me for $250, assuming she is home and not traveling for work the day I give birth. Hoping it all works out and she is able to be there! If not, then just DH and I in the room.
I would like to add, I do NOT want any "graphic" birth photos. I'm going for more of the photos of things like, DH'S face the first time he sees the baby, the little family shot of the 3 of us immediately after baby is born; baby getting weighed and footprinted; pic of DH telling the family in the waiting room, etc.
Where were you THAT week, huh?
(I kid, I kid)
Symptoms: Apparently I'm just now getting the hormonal/emotional thing going. I've had a few hormonal days in the past but this week it's just been like "ugghhhh". And it's only Tuesday. Lots of kicks. The occasional butt/head in the rib cage.
AW/Appts: Next one is the first week of September. I'll be just over 31 weeks. I've been gaining a pound a week for the past two months but last week my fundal was still measuring a week behind. I'm hoping that all gets reversed by September.
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver? DH, an OB from the practice, *maybe* an OB resident (if I like her and not if it's a guy), the nurse. I recently freaked out about this since I'm delivering at the teaching hospital where DH works and he said I can kick out anyone I want except the doctor and the nurse.

EDD/Weeks: 11/11, 27 weeks! Is this third Tri?
Symptoms: Some foods are still making me feel "ick" but other than that, peeing every 12 seconds, fatigue, and hurty feet, nothing. I think my belly button is going to pop soon.
AW/Appts: I have a diabetes doc appt on Thursday and my 28 week U/S and appt next friday. Then every other week. Holy shit!!!!
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver? Med professionals and DH. I'd be OK with having my sister in there but I just know that would open up a HUGE can of worms with my MIL and Mom and since I'm not super into having her in there, I'll just leave it to DH.
Symptoms: Hardcore indigestion is really my main symptom aside from feeling his kicks which are happening more and more...LOVE it!
AW/Appts: Had a hematologist appointment yesterday. She said that I'm coming up anemic now but that it coincides with where I'm at in my pregnancy so she's not too concerned but she would run more tests. I have my 3D sono appointment tomorrow at 7:30pm...can't WAIT to see my little man! Then Monday I have my 1 hour glucose at 6:15am. I have a bad bad feeling I'm going to fail considering how much weight I've gained already...
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver? The only person I know that will be there for sure (besides me, of course lol) is my mother. Since the baby's father and I are no longer together, I may have my sister in law or my closest friend in there, too. I'm not sure yet how many I'm even allowed to have.

Symptoms: Sciatic & back pain..that's about it
AW/Appts: Next appt is this Thursday, ultrasound to check cervix length
GTKY- just DH as of right now
Symptoms: hip pain, peeing all the time, tired and constipation.
Appointments/updates/AW: looking into booking a 3d ultrasound.
GTKY: my DH, MW, plus a back up MW and my doula. We are delivering at a birth center so we will be home a few hours after she is born.
EDD/Weeks: 11/11 - 27 wks
Symptoms: Nothing out of the ordinary. Fast & furious reflux is still making me crazy. I feel like a velociraptor spewing acid everywhere with a surprising cough!
AW/Appts: My next appointment is Thursday with my first rhogam shot. There is a wild child inside of me. She butted against my rib cage so hard last week it made my boobies shake.
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver? my husband
I was wondering where you've been! Where did you move to?
Symptoms: Exhausted.. Sore all over lol
AW/Appts: nothing exciting.. I started my bi-weekly apts though
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver? Just my hubby!
Symptoms: my heart palpitations are returning, which is not good. I had so many early on that the doc thought she was going to kick me to a high risk practice.
Updates: went to the doc and she brought up my weight gain. (25lbs) and told me I need to try to reign it in. She is right and it's her job to counsel me to the best health and outcome for baby but it still sucks to be told that. She said its really easy to gain a lot in the third trimester and that I should limit carbs, eat more protein.
We talked a bit about how my drug-free labor plan will work with hospital policies and I actually felt pretty good about that. She is very supportive of it. It's important to me to do this drug free if at all humanely possible since I have a history of drug/alcohol abuse. I basically have refused painkillers and abuseable medicines for over a decade at this point including when I've broken bones, wisdom teeth out, even no Novocain for a filling. I'm just way too freaked out what my brain might do if I get anything like that in my system.
Gtky: DH and a yet to be selected doula.
Symptoms: Not many....the heartburn is a damn killer. Wakes me up at night & I pee every 5 minutes when I'm trying to sleep. Feet have been a little swollen, but nothing too major.
AW/Appts: Ugh. I have to start fasting tonight, because I failed my 1 hour GD test last week & I have the 3 hour first thing tomorrow morning. I hope I pass!! But other than that...the nursery is coming along nicely!! I should take some pix...!
GTKY- who will be in the room with you when you deliver? Just my husband and the medical people necessary. I don't want an audience..LOL!
EDD/Weeks: 28 weeks, 11/4
Symptoms: Ninja kicks, peeing all the time, and my carpal tunnel is a little better since I got new hand braces
AW/Appts: Just had an appointment yesterday, everything is good.
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver? Just DH, I will have a RCS. I want DS to meet the baby first.
Symptoms:
No sleeping between 2-5 (not going to bed till 12 and up at 8, ugh), heartburn on and off, shortness of breath a lot! Especially after eating. Sweating! Man I stink bad sometimes!
AW/Appts:
My hubby is actually talking to baby and about baby. So sweet :x he was at first then stopped for a long time then 2 nights ago he started again, my heart melted.
GTKY-who will be in the room with you when you deliver?
Hubby, best friend (who is a LPN) and another photographer friend. All family lives 20hrs away so it's kind of hard.
