How long did it take to get your test results back? I swore it only took 2-3 days when I did the test with my first two but I can't remember for sure. It has been a week since I did my test and still don't have results.

Is your dr a no news= good news place?
Last preg- I found out like lAter that day or the next. It was quick and they called and told me I passed and my numbers.

This time the earlier test I took Friday morning and never heard back. Just got my records yesterday and they put in my result that Tuesday. I had passed but they only call for failures.

I found out the next day that I failed..whomp whomp ( I at least only took the two hour so they did not retest me)

My dr is a "no news, good news" doctor but I still called ANYWAY after a few days because I was curious about my iron, being that I'm a vegetarian and have to be very, very careful with my iron levels.

I got a call back within 5 days. But that is because I had an abnormal thyroid result.
Does your dr have an online portal? Mine sent me an email as soon as the results were in.

They call back with the results either way. I had an appt on Tuesday and the Dr acted like I should hear by wed. I called yesterday to see if the results were in and the nurse left me a message saying they weren't in and she was going to have someone check on them. That lady called me back this morning and said they still aren't in and she called the lab and they are hoping they will get the results today. I really hope they didn't lose my test!

If they haven't called a week later, I would definitely call them. I had it where my thyroid was out of whack and they didn't get me the results until I called, a week later too. Sometimes things slip through the cracks so I say better safe than sorry.

I was called the next day because my iron levels were low, but they let me know I passed the GTT. They wouldn't have called at all if there were zero issues.

I took mine last Tuesday and then decided to call them this Tuesday since I hadn't heard back and I found out I failed. I wasn't really worried about it because I passed last time, but nope, I failed. I just took my 3-hr today. I will be talking to my doctor about the delay at my appointment on Tuesday. There was no point in getting annoyed with the nurse who had no idea why it took that long.

It took my dr a week to call back. They are a "no news is good news" practice and told me that I should hear something within 2-3 days. I thought I was good since I hadn't heard anything from them within the time frame they had said. Needless to say, almost two weeks after my initial glucose tolerance test I now know that I have GD.

I took the test on Monday and found out Wednesday that I failed. They would not have called if I passed.

I got called within 2 business days, but that was because my iron levels were low, not because I failed.

I called back this afternoon to see if my results were in and they are not. I had to talk to the stupid triage nurse who tells me wrong info all the time and she said they should be in Monday or tuesday. I'm going to stop in Monday and talk to one of the other triage nurses.

I finally got my results back after more than a week. It turns out the lab made some kind of mistake and so therefore my glucose test wasn't run. Now I have to go re-do it. I'm so annoyed! All the rest of my labs were run but not the glucose test.

That would be horrible. I am sorry you have to go through that torture again. I would be so mad. That's always been a big fear pf mine that the lab wouldn't run all the tests ordered.

I took it last Tuesday with a no news is good news type thing. Figured I was good to go but got a call today that I failed. Kind of surprised since I passed with DS. I go tomorrow to do the 3 hour. Had they told me last week, when they had the results, I could have done the 3 hour while on vacation.

I'd be pretty mad about that. Seriously, that sucks! Sorry you have to do a re-do.

Ya. I'm pretty irritated! I asked what exactly happened so it doesn't happen to me again and they told me the lab either dropped that vial or lost it. What really sucks is they knew a week and a half ago and didn't call me to tell me. I could have gone back right away and had my results by now.
