Mommy Con

I was curious if anyone has gone to one of these. I am thinking about going to one near me but I'm trying to decide if it's worth it.

https://mommy-con.com

If you have been, was it worth it? Did you find it very informational? Would you go again?

Thanks!!

My wife and I are planning to attend the Philly event. We've never been to this specific event, but we've been to similar expos and we have always had a good time. We are looking forward to this one. If for no other reason than it will be nice to spend a weekend in Philly (we are in the DC metro area).

Yeah, J would only go to something like that if I filled a flask with Makers and begged. I find things like this though, they are usually selling a lot of crap. Not that it's not worth it. Just usually there is money making as a priority.

My wife and I might go to the Philly one as well. We live in Philly, but that weekend is also our 10 yr anniversary, so we haven't really decided what we want to do... I think the whole "baby wearing record breaking whatever" is what is appealing to my wife. I think this sounds fun, but it might actually be lame-o... I worry it is like a Home Show or a Bridal Show... where you walk around to different booths and collect stupid flyers and papers and enter to win crap you will never win... I don't know. Know I sound totally cynical. We seriously might go though. HAHA

    Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012

If it's anything like the other similar expos I've been to, it does have some of that element of "walk around.... get fliers... enter to win... etc", but it also has classes/workshops that are mostly what I'm going for (though a little shopping never hurt, either!).... If you go, we would love to meet you in real life!
