Intro and Femara question! ****LO mentioned and MC mentioned****

Hello! I am 31 and a mommy to an almost 5yr old little boy. We tried a year to get PG with him (successful on our own) and a yr and a half later we got PG (successful on our own) with a little one we lost at 9weeks PG. Since then, nothing. I have hypothyroidism which is regulated with levothyroxine. We did multiple rounds of clomid with no response at all. We took a much needed break from TTC and are back at it on Femara this time. Last cycle, which was our first round with Femara 2.5 MG, 24 day progesterone blood work showed ovulation! Level was 8.6 and exact words from the nurse were " you ovulated, just not outstandingly". I am CD5 and on round two of Femara 2.5MG. My question is, has anyone gotten higher progesterone levels with the same dose? Just wondering if my doc should have bumped the dosage up to get better response? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

    My RE won't give a dose lower than 5mg on femera. Maybe talk to her about upping the dose if not pregnant this cycle.

    My History:
    Lots of BFN's & failed IUI's w/clomid and/or femara
    Finally BFP with femara & t.i.- son born 6/17/2010
    Started TTC again around when DS was 3ish
    Lots of BFN's with femara & t.i & ovidrel
    Tubes clear, S.A came back low motility but high count
    About to switch to injectables w/femara, did one last cycle with just femara & an IUI with ovidrel- stupid motility was fantastic in the sample, but count was 700,000 AFTER wash! Had to sign a paper to even still do IUI- BFFP (big fat freaking positive) Go figure!
    1st Beta 13dpiui 54, 2nd beta 48 hours later 115, 3rd beta 48 hours later 310, 4th beta 72 hours later 1748.

    Thank you! Our OBGYN is still handling our case.. He said if I didn't respond to the Femara that he would refer us to a RE. Keeping our fingers crossed that I "ovulate better" this time! LOL

    Got it. Yea when I was with my OB, he only gave me 2.5mg, but he never checked my progesterone, he didn't monitor at all. That is why I switched to RE- we had success with her with my son. But so far, no success yet with #2...

    I don't have any experience with Femara, but good luck. Hope it works for you.

    I was on 5.0mg CD 3-7 and my prog was 7 something, so the next month my RE upped it to 7.5 and my prog was 19+, so upping the dose worked in that regard. Although this IUI cycle also looks to be a bust.
